BLM in no way can be compared to the kkk.

Lets be honest nobody is going to listen to a group of all black people protesting. Not until it gets violent anyway,

I think I read that the BLM movement wants to rewrite the US Constitution. What do they want to change and what are they looking for? What can they possibly hope to gain from such an action? Our Constitution is the best in the world and led the way for others to have liberty. It looks to me like this movement is about some kind of revolution or overthrow, and to what purpose? Is it to benefit them exclusively? Because we already had the civil rights movement, desegregation, welfare, and special rights and privileges known as "affirmative action". What else could this movement hope to achieve that's not already in the Constitution and which allows for laws to be enacted? Perhaps they want retribution or maybe even reparations but you cannot write that into a Constitution without infringing everyone else's liberty....
so what gives????

Except that this behavior has become the typical MO for this group, from invading restaurants, to blocking traffic, to running rough shod over campaign speeches and taking over to call everyone white racists, to mobilizing and shouting racists chants, to calling for the death of cops, to this present situation on campuses Exactly WHERE is the redeeming quality in this movement thus far?

Again that's fallacious reasoning, I don't paint a broad brush over all Muslims as barbaric terrorists for the acts of ISIS.
Nor would I or should you do that to any collective group.

The redemption comes from those persons who are not committing those reprehensible acts, they maybe still be affiliated to the group somehow but I don't see how you can sit there and claim the sins of the few individuals represents the actions of everyone involved.

Every demonstration so far has been laden thick w hateful rhetoric Your rational is roughly equivalent to saying " The KKK isn't so bad because they occasionally have a food drive for the hungry"

Again your making a guilty by association fallacy. Very absurd reasoning.

ETA;

I swear this site has been infiltrated by storm-front looking at some of the comments in this thread

I saw where it was going but avoided discussion about it for the most part because the people that really need convincing won't understand until they're the ones getting intimidated and bullied. Some of them won't even understand then, they'll rationalize the behavior and hand out participation trophies.

Edit to add: they will call you a racist without fail even when there are plenty of people from all racial backgrounds involved. The mantra of 'racist' has been slowly watering down the meaning and impact of what should be a very serious word.

You know, it's funny, one of the most hard core social justice warriors I know is my friend Olivia, who I not only work with now but also went to grad school with. She would fit right in with this group. She made her family go protest IN Ferguson. She used to berate me when I first met her for being a stereotypical white american male. She eventually realized that I wasn't, and now believes I am a real ally. But even still she goes off on others for privilege, institutionalized racism, etc.

At work, it was so funny, because one time Olivia tried to calm down a very large African American union leader yelling at this small woman, a representative of NYC.

Another social justice warrior in our midst, an African American woman, later went off on Olivia for oppressing black people and thinking she could whitesplain to the Black man.

It was like you say, I think Olivia needed to experience the social justice movement turning on her, perhaps unjustly, for her to really get that SJW's CAN be excessive, hateful, inaccurate, and sometimes even targeting of white people.

No my argument is BLM members time after time show their true colors and this isn't a one time thing. My logic is that quite a bit of individuals and even large groups of the BLM keep doing horrible/stupid things and it's these things should be taken into account because these stories keep popping up time after time.

So because we see BLM for exactly who they are we are infiltrated by stormfront?

It couldn't possibly be that we are actually observing all the hate they are spewing?

Please. Yet another racist enuendo thrown out at anyone who doesn't agree with the vitriol BLM displays on a regular basis

Enlighten me, why should what you deem to be reprehensible actions of any amount of individuals effect the underlying message of the cause that BLM is trying to represent? Why is everyone involved in BLM directly responsible for their actions?

Regardless of what they did or didn't do doesn't invalidate any of the points BLM has made about how institutionalized discrimination and police brutality still exist in the U.S.

If you imply what I've stated as racist innuendo that's your problem.

You mean the underlying message of racism and hate?

Why so obtuse?

I shouldn't have to enlighten you, common sense should make it evident to even the most casual of observers

BLM, they are absolutly right. It still matters today, deal with it, your white privilege is in danger and that concerns you. Black people have the right to demonstrate for equality. # what martin luther king says, # "I have a dream", equality in a white society? WTF are you white nerds dreaming? Enough for showing humbleness, all the white extremists who killing black people and then black people pray for them, enough. Next time prepare for a bullet in the head. If you don't want equality than do not expect it from blm.

ive often wondered what the big deal is with people have against any movement like this... it has to be fear. fear that their bigoted ideals for how our country is run and who its run in favor of will become a thing of the past...because what other reason could a person strum up to be so against people speaking out on behalf of their rights?

Thats why these white beta nerds liking threads like this, they fear groundbreaking changes, they love they white privilege so much but on the other hand they ignore the injustice, causing through they privilege. Asking WHY so many people hate you, don't ignore and say "n..., all the same". It's the SAME with the immigration in europe, white beta nerds complaining about the "masses of refugees", but what you american nerds don't know, this was even subject LONG ago, before the syrian mass immigration.
You can see, all these sissy beta threads about muslims(brown, black people, which is stupid, muslims usually are white) are from white beta nerds who whining about they privilege.

fighting for your rights is not attacking people that aren't doing or saying anything to you.
how would you like it if a group of people surround you in a room where you where minding your own business and started screaming in your face, saying if we can't study, you can''t study. when in fact they could have been studying instead of harassing people.

BLM is a lame joke. Only a bunch of unemployed people could have so much time on their hands to march around harassing people. Once BLM, inevitably, alienates all but the most self-hating whites, it'll just be back to the status quo for them.

Based on their recent behavior it's pretty obvious why they're having to demand special treatment, as it's pretty obvious they're intellectually incapable of achieving anything on their own.

News Flash! Running around in mobs harassing people isn't some kind of great accomplishment, it's just juvenile and borderline criminal.

All those kids hard at work in the library are gonna be the people who own the company you apply to work for. Hopefully they don't recognize any of y'all.

It's funny another BLM sympathizer showing us all first hand again what's wrong with this group and why so many people are growing tired of them.

is it me or does it seem like all these groups are just stirring the pot, which means more online traffic, which then converts to money.... i mean when the logic is amiss and it smells funky you can usually follow the money to a fat pig controlling the show.. and i think thats kinda whats going on here or i should say thats what this morphed into.. hell werent bloods and crips local groups trying to help the community THEN when drug money hit they went into a more radical direction? sure the lower level people get fed a line to do crazy stuff and believe its for a good cause, but arent they just making promotion for someone making money at the top of these groups?

i guess my point is that earlier civil rights group didnt have a means to make money off of their actions so it was obvious why they protested.. i just cant help but think this new generation of activists are gauging their actions more on how.much internet traffic the protest will bring and not as much of the social impact the protest would bring.... theres plenty of ways to use your energy to help your community besides making a hige protest.

I made it quite clear earlier in this thread that I do not support the crop of SJWs who run BLM. I point out your over-generalizations of a group, use of logical fallacies and I'm called a sympathizer for the movement...

How about you answer the questions I asked ManBehindTheMask, enlighten me to your reasoning.
