Well we cannot have a prez who believes that it is just to steal money from one guys paycheck to pay for someone else's needs. The god of nanny statism is pretty scary. I'll take the creationist thanks.

Okay - so....do you buy insurance?
Medical, homeowners, vehicle, whatever.

Have you ever filed a claim for any of them? Or do you just keep paying, month after month, hoping that something awful doesn't happen...even if you don't know if they'll cover it or not?

The idea of "insurance" was that everyone pitches in equally, and when someone who has pitched in has a problem, the fund accumulated is used to PAY FOR THAT participant's needs.

"Insurance" has instead brought about huge financial crises and conflicts of interest (how is it that THEY get to decide whether the doctor's prescription is legitimate or not?) are present.

"Insurance" was NEVER supposed to be a 'money-making' thing. If they weren't allowed to be traded on Wall Street and beholden to their "shareholders" (rather than their policy-holders) we wouldn't be in this mess.

America is probably much more ready than people might think.

Muslim. Atheist. What ever. Can the person do the damned job that they are trying to be elected to? That's the only marker worth looking at.

Do you honestly think that's the way American politics works? You haven't seen by now what a charade, media circus, popularity contest for the proper blood lines it is. It's not an election; it's a performance populated by some of the most interesting characters imaginable. Trump and Sarah come to mind. The electorate doesn't care about if you can do the job; they want to be entertained; And that's what they get; do you actually take the debates seriously?

btw....wanna buy a Ford Maverick....runs great!!

Current potus believes in 1)letting babies who are alive after a botched abortion die alone in a soiled broom closet and 2)changing the constitution whenever he gets the notion and over riding congress making his own laws
Just two to start

I just was with someone who wanted to buy the cheapest generic medication for something and tried two places went to one more and the clerk told her it's because of obamacare that all the stores are selling only the expensive ones to make more money so it isn't just about being forced to buy insurance it's about all the other insane rifications related to the only more convoluted insane legislation than the patriot act. Here's a hint: the poor are suffering in ways not spoken of by nanny staters who believe they are doing good.

RIght!
So - you don't agree with the capitalist approach, then. RIght?

Because if you let insurance companies gamble on Wall Street, and then it comes your turn to get covered by what you've paid in, and you don't get taken care of.....

that's okay?

But- if you own "stock" in BCBS or MetLife or any of those, then your stock value might "dip" because someone who's been paying in suddenly needs to cash in their chips.

Is that bad? That your precious "stock holdings" dipped because the ORIGINAL REASON for the fund was to help all the contributors when they needed it?

And I bet you hate unions, too.

Somehow I have lost all faith in the impeachment process and the fundamental principle the country was founded on.

If the process worked then I would not be taxed for simply being born in the usa.

No argument there mate.

I despise what unions have become and yes they are socialist and corrupted. The point is that obamacare regs are making things harder for everyone and real competitive capitalism means that cheaper generics would put the over priced ones out of biz see how that works ?

But, you're okay with insurance companies being publicly traded and people making virtual money off of them? And then them (the insurance companies) refusing to acknowledge the patient/doctor decision about treatment?

And, so that Shkreli guy is fine by you? Who jacked up the prices by a bejillion percent, because he thinks maybe someday they'll build off the original formula and come up with something better.... you're okay with that then? (Because, you know, he makes lots of money.)

You're not compelled, of course, to answer those questions, but in any case - do you not realize that "insurance regs" are in bed with the ACA? That as long as it is a system embedded in both PRIVATE ENTERPRISE and WALL STREET TRADING, we the people are being ripped off as nothing more than tools to the mega-corps?

Got a car, thanks.

I want them to be able to do the job. If others want to be entertained, that's their problem. Which is why I've never voted a straight party ticket in my life, despite being, at one time, a registered Dem. Debates? Haven't watched one since "Read my lips...". No, I'll make my decision based on what I hear, see, and read from as many sources as I can stomach.

Charade? No, really? I'd never have guessed. Which is why an outsider, such as Ben Carson, could be/might be the answer, or part of it, anyway.

No guarantees that he is, of course. But I know Ms. Rodham-Clinton isn't an answer, nor is Mr. Sanders. ...and Trump is a joke without a punch line. I'd say something mean about his hair, but I've no room to talk.

Dr. Ben is just part of the Charade. I think we both know the role he is tasked with playing for the GOP.
In my position as a media rep. for the Republicans locally, he is mocked and being an outsider will not work in his favor. It's a corporate game and outsiders just don't have the kind of stake it takes to play. I guess it could change but the Koch bros are already commited.
It's an ugly, nasty system, but we get the best government money can buy.

The Donald has a better chance than Dr. Carson, and that's not sayin much.

polls.....

Dunno wth you're going on about. Did obamacare stop companies from being publicly traded? Didn't think so. Shkrli who? You presume to know a lot about me. On the other hand obamacare does impose price controls and that actually decreases competition and raises the cost of stuff not lower it. Economics 101 for
Those who didn't get it in college. www.discoverthenetworks.org...

Well, I take three generics and the big chain store I use still sells them so it's obviously not "all the stores."

You believe differently than I do, thus you're a nutcase, you nutcase!

(see how that works?)

The "highest laws in our land" once supported the unquestioned legality of slavery... guess that makes Abraham Lincoln a "nutcase" in your eyes? The same "highest laws of our land" ruled in favor of interment camps for Japanese Americans who had committed no crimes during WW2... Norman MIneta was clearly a "nutcase" for the Civil Rights Law of 1988 which intends to prevent this from ever happening again in America. Those same "highest laws of our land" which deemed that private property held by the poor may be seized by eminent domain by private corporations if those corps pay more in taxes... all of the states who subsequently changed their laws regarding eminent domain to specify that corporations CANNOT do this and trying to protect the property of their citizens must be "nutcases," eh?

Is Obama a "nutcase" in your eyes because of his public pissing and moaning over Citizen's United?

When someone is running for political office they paint a target on themselves for criticism, objection, scrutiny, praise, good, bad and more, so the first amendment rules apply here. And I'm not going to hold back.

I called him a "nutcase" because their seems to be no separation of church and state. Strictly looking as a constitutionalist.

The cases you site have little to do with religion and more with justice. The claims I made had everything to do with religious beliefs mixing with the constitution.

And yes I'm a nutcase too, but it's all subjective

Look you are just splitting hairs over whether some all or none of the stores are or are not selling some all or no generics. My town is small. So let's get back to the topic which is Ben Carson being a creationist. I'd said I'd prefer a creationist to a socialist and I will stand by that and people who think socialism will save them can rail at me all they like because my statement comes from progressive revelation and that is that the beasts of world socialism will be judged by the almighty. As for creationism, I do not subscribe to the 6000 year old earth theory but Carson is at least a godly man and not a secular humanist and he seems to believe in free enterprise.
