I hear what you are saying, it could just be one of the "lone wolf attacks" we seem to hear about daily. I have no doubt it will be someone who has been radicalised though. However, in the Guardian article which has been posted above it does say a plot was foiled earlier in the year. Just because these people are terrorists doesn't mean they have brains!!! IMO you can't have many brain cells to start off with to want to do any of these terrorist related activities.
