It's really really not about keeping anything from "the kids."

It's about following our laws and our long-standing traditions.

Organize the toy drive off-base. Work for a charity you believe in on your own time, not the service's.

Why is that so hard?

This is about violation of Church and State in the Military.

The Military being the ultimate secular government employer.

I dont agree. Toys for tots is as noble a reason as any to overlook militant (heh) secularism for a few weeks. It's not like the price of admission is communion or five hail Mary's.
