And...you're wrong. Nature created the male and female...for specific reasons. Everything else is an abnormality, a mistake that would normally be corrected or bred out of the species. But humans, knowing so much more than the nature of the universe, have decided to slap a mask and a few prosthetics on a person and say...look a woman.

She is a male of the human species. Nothing this person does will ever, ever, ever change that they are male. Can we PLEASE get past these lies that there is any way at all to "magically transform" from male to female or vise-versa. There isn't...scientifically impossible.

At first, I didn't think she deserved it. Reading the blatant bigotry in most of the posts on here makes me realise she has to live with this cap day in day out. I have a trans friend, one of the nicest people I know. I see the abuse she has to deal with and its awful. That in of itself to me makes Jenner deserving. I don't know what's happening to ATS lately, it seems to be filled with hateful bigoted threads lately.

You may not like her but try walking a mile in her shoes. Most people would make the first 100 yards...

It's not our job to protect Bruce from reality. Life is hard. He's genetically abnormal. It's called natural selection and even human disgust is a behavioural trait that allows us to continue reproducing and evolving. Don't blame society for turning their back on someone like this. It's progress no matter how emotionally attached you are to the individuals who suffer from this fate.

Bruce couldn't walk in a poor persons shoes for a few steps so let's put this person into perspective.

I disagree with you especially with your "bigotry" comment. Stating scientific facts is not bigotry. Nor is calling someone "different" or "abnormal" if they fit the definition.

While gay, transgendered, etc. people are "different", so are handicapped individuals, mentally challenged people, etc. And while gay people are sometimes discriminated against, so are blacks, jews, muslims, the obese, etc. Catholics are being beheaded in the Middle East...whites are murdered in the ghetto and it isn't called a hate crime...etc., etc., etc.

The point here is this. We are all different. We are all characters with unique things about us both physically and mentally. The biggest reason you may see a an intolerance here on ATS against some groups is their incessant whining about how THEY are persecuted. We are all persecuted...some more than others but still persecuted. The transgendered are no more worthy of recognition than the Catholic. No more the blacks than the cops, the muslim nor the jew. We are all in this together...but some feel they deserve "special" treatment.

Sorry...they don't. Join the human race, celebrate what we all are together and the problem goes away. Celebrate only what YOU are, then there are issues.
