I am also against abortions, this issue is about taking away women rights by people who fall for lies or are offended by something that does not affect them.

Did you have a point ?

Lol, coming from you this is priceless, your government decided that women rights arent worth protecting by falling for lies.

So tell me again how your against a big government.

ALso its nice to see how people not affected by abortions seem to think there opinion is worth something.

Really?

So how is gov pulling out of a private entity big gov? Its actually the opposite.......i cant even, how does that logic work?
YES, I would prefer gov stay out of privately owned companies, thats NOT big gov.

2nd How do YOU know im not affected by abortions? More rhetoric and assumptions on your part, again your MO

3. They didnt say they were shutting them down, they just arent funding them anymore

4. They still have options to get the same care they did before, infact there are MORE entities that do this sort of thing, then there are PP.

None of them are being shut down, just defunded by the gov, they havent taken ANY womans rights away

Do you even know anything about this issue? Youre making wild claims that dont hold up

A lot of the procedures they do are outsourced to other companies, the same companies that continue to do them

The same clinics that can give them the same exact services they get at PP, for low income people

Again......fail

Follow the ball not the player, PP offers women choices and help towards women health and pregnancy, the abortions part was calculated at a very small portion of the funding.

So what your saying is your ok with taking away a right that women have fought for a long time to get, well because you got offended by a videos series that was proven to have been edited.

Keep up the good work lol

So any clinic that does abortions are a terrorist org?

Love that you want to loosely use that word.

Not a hyperbole at all.

And for that umpteenth time, your taxes do not pay for abortions.
You own fact and logic fail.

the only time the gov't pays for an abortion is when it is medically necessary, or maybe a result of incest or rape....
heck, louisianna is fighting tooth and nail to end the planned parenthood funding in their state, and the clinic in the state don't even offer abortions!!!

Which ones?

I know mammograms do, and there is much more that goes into that as not everyone can do them.
Takes special training and certs.

What other services are sent out?

If texas wants to take this stance they need to do it for ALL health clinics, as they do the same thing PP does.
That is part of the argument right? That women can go elsewhere and get the same services.
Or is this just a lame ass political pandering move.

Speaking of following the ball, perhaps you should get your facts straight.

Actually it was caluclated as a small part of procedures, however the revenue was NOT small, actually it was a huge chunk of their profit

So what your saying is your ok with taking away a right that women have fought for a long time to get, well because you got offended by a videos series that was proven to have been edited.

Again, they didnt take anything away, they just defunded it, you keep trying to interchange that word which is not what happened, and even if PP did go down, AGAIN there are pleny of other places to do so, that offer the same services for the same low income people........

You keep repeating that lie, doesnt make it truth.....

And again, ive watched ALL the videos that have come out at length, nothing was taken out of context, i venture to guess you have not done the same, but continue to parrot that line the progressive left keep using

and lastly, yes im deeply offended at murdering babies, if youre not, then that says more about you than me

Its political pandering to see fundamental issues with an organization and actually LISTEN to the majority of the people in your state who do NOT want their tax dollars to go to it?

Huh, I thought that was representing the people who elected you, weird

yea, well you scratch off a good number of those other places that are associated with the catholic church because well, they won't even deal with any type of birth control...
heck, if they cut the medicaid funding off from planned parenthood then quite frankly I think it would be only fair to also cut if from many of these catholic hospitals and clinics since the clinics will refuse to provide the birth control, and the hospitals will refuse to give a women a tubal litigation after a c-section! and yet, they get way more money than planned parenthood and some of the bigger catholic charities groups pay their ceos way more than the ceo of planned parenthood gets!!

Its nice to see the people that claim that the government should stay out of peoples lives, be all for this decision, you just cant make this up.

I agree that Government should stay out of paying for abortions. That is a woman's choice, but not the responsibility of Government to pay. If I want a gun it is my right. Are you going to PAY for me to exercise my right?

Logic fail.

well, the government pays for Viagra as do many health insurance companies, what a strange irony.....I guess the promotion of un-natural, drug induced, male erections is a lot more important than the responsibility of pregnancy, that these erections cause

a bigger irony is if the wife of the guy on viagra decided that sex just wasn't worth the risk of getting pregnant, possibly going to jail because she miscarried, possibly dying lying in a hospital bed in agony for hours on end...

a responsible person would know the risks involved of getting a back ally abortion, if chooses to do so, its on her the consequences. If she doesn't like texas and it laws she can just go to another state. Why does everyone feel that they have the right to sue someone else over there bad choices

That isn't what I asked.

I am asking that if they don't want funding to go to PP, they better stop it to all low income health clinics.
Since they offer the same services that PP offers. That has been an argument about getting them defunded since the start.

I wonder how many of that majority is going off the twisted videos and not the investigations that found no wrong doing.
My opinion is that they are going off of the spun videos and BS articles that have been posted in this smear campaign.

None of them care about the fact that tax dollars don't fund it and they prevent more abortions then they carry out.
So what is it that they don't want their tax dollars to go to? A health clinic for women??

Wrong their conduct and their ethical practice of a medical procedure, and their cohersion there of to have it done has been the argument, the left have SPUN it just like you are doing now.

The spun videos, have you watched the videos at full length compared to the shorten versions?

Obviously a clinic that a large majority of people,at least in Texas, feel have been dishonest, gruesome, and monstrous in the way they carry out their procedures.....

Everyone knows that , hospitals and other places do abortions, they arent trying to shut THEM down....so its clear the issue is with PP and how its conducted itself, agree with that or not.......

their tax dollars are not used for abortions...the Hyde amendment ruled that out along time ago....maybe if the anti-abortionists would actually tell the truth about what planned parenthood provides, the people of the state wouldn't be so hoodwinked......but, that ruins the zeal for getting rid of planned parenthood by the religious right, so it will never happen....this is why I'm an atheist, religion is used to divide groups and individuals, it has been used as a blunt instrument to control those that go against it. religion says to believe in a all-powerful mythical being, who strangely has human weaknesses such as jealousy, wrath, revenge, and a propensity to kill hundreds of thousands of humans, innocent or not. and then of course, his reward for being an obedient servant of his, is realized ONLY after you physically die....how convenient for the god almighty, and, for the humans that made him up.

Isn't the Hyde amendment about federal not state dollars? Not sure it really applies to the state funds of Texas or what the state money has/does pay for.

I've listened to some of the federal investigations on this,
from them, I kind of got the idea that they think that planned parenthood will just keep serving the medicaid patients, but well since they have so much money at their disposal, they just won't charge them any more for the services than they are now (which is probably nothing!!!) it wouldn't surprise me if they are right in that. although if the funding was pulled, I am kind of hoping they take one little item and refuse the medicaid patients for just that one think, std testing, or something, and refer them all to the nearest county health clinic!!!

As a result, Texas is about to see a massive increase in STD's and Women's health issues, and a huge increase in the amount of abortions done illegally.

You know who has the most abortions in the USA? Teenage CHRISTIAN girls.

Conservatives may be celebrating, but this is about to cost the State a ton on money that they don't have.
