I'm also interested in facts and its hard to weed through all these BS articles claiming victory in only a few weeks. You think ISIL which is claimed to be backed by the CIA is gonna be destroyed in a few weeks? Even without CIA backing this is gonna take months if not years to eradicate ISIL and the Syrian rebels at the same time.

Or its Russian propaganda

The war against ISIS was never meant to be won, only meant to be sustained.

Does putin not understand our strategy for perpetual war?

I agree, there is alot of propaganda and both RT and Western media are guilty of that. It helps when opinions are based on news that can be cross referenced from both Western and RT news sites, and perhaps a rather neutral news site like Deutsch Welle (German), to cross check developing information.

My opinion on ISIS, is that right now the Russian are taking them head on based of general news coming out from a majority of sources. Whether this news of ISIS being cut of supplies cannot be cross-checked with any other site. But there is to be a certain level of trust on the Russian regarding this news site, since it's basically coming out of the horses mouth, mostly Russian military Generals are quoted in stating military developments otherwise.

I really don't now how big ISIS is, in terms of their military capabilities, but news about strikes on ISIS targets just seems soothing to hear as they are primarily the core of the crisis in Syria.

On the contrary, the US refuses to share intel with Russia on ISIS sites, which makes anyone suspicious of why the don't want to form a coalition with Russia to rid of IS.

And then we have Whistler blowers such as General Clarke Wesley come out accusing Obama of being responsible for ISIS, here, only makes for a complicated information mix-up, that we just don't know who to blame but West seems to be where the finger is pointed to regarding the Syrian Crisis.

To make things even complicated still, US decides to back other rebel groups here, which seems to going against Russian efforts to curb ISIS.

So to answer your question, I don't now how long to be honest, this fight against, ISIS will go on, even Obama cautioned on this.

"I have repeatedly said that our approach will take time. This is not an easy task," Obama cautioned, while adding that he was "ultimately optimistic" the brutal organization would be defeated because it has nothing to offer but suffering and death.

There lies some truth in that statement right there.

What fits well is the fact al-Baghdadi was a CIA POW, released and suddenly has tons of equipment and support.

After taking delivery of the Toyotas, AKs, everything else the CIA offered, he turned sides and created an ultraviolent "caliphate" which exceeded expectations, with the exception of fighting Assad.

Now he's a target, but the US still needs to negotiate the situation on the ground.

I think they wont collapse but with thier supply lines cut they will retreat back to thier home countries.

Reports are suggesting that
ISIS are currently on the brink of defeat after Russian jets carried out
40 attacks against the terrorist group. It’s also believed that they’ve
cut off their arms supplies as well.
General Igor Konashenkov, who is the spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry, explained, via the Express,
that these attacks were spread out among a number of different ISIS
strongholds in Syria, which includes the regions of Aleppo, Hama, Idlib,
Latakia, and Deir ez-Zur.
In fact, because of this news the Express felt
confident enough to write the headline, “ISIS ‘on verge of defeat’ as
Russian jets cut off arms supplies.” However, that is probably a little
bit premature.

lol at all this "legitimate government" nonsense.

Many legitimate REVOLUTIONS were aided by outside countries, inc the American War of Independence.

So silly how people invoke morals when it suits them

Obama is a lame duck President who has achieved nothing throughout his entire term in office and looks what he is - weak and clueless.

He worked really hard at eroding our constitution and bypassing Congress, while using executive orders to create polocies that are actually quite illegal. He has done his job well. LOL But yeah, on the International stage he has done nothing but make some great speeches, just nothing backing them up.

Well said mate. I agree entirely with your post. I don't trust any politician as far as I can throw them, but when it comes to ISIS, Putin has undoubtedly stepped up to the plate. I cannot criticize his efforts even if I wanted to without looking like a stooge. America doesn't seem to have a problem with that, though.

Guns, Drugs, Oil, Nukes, strategic military installations, unlikely allies, shady corporate deals; its Russia's turn now.

God Speed.

i hope those already calling him a 'true' leader dont eat their words in say, 1 or 2 election cycles... when he's still president.
