But, the official said the threat of a hijacking by bin Laden's al Qaeda organization was general in nature, did not mention a specific time or place and was similar to the variety of different terrorist threats U.S. intelligence monitors frequently.

Two Months Before 9/11, an Urgent Warning to Rice

On July 10, 2001, two months before the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, then-CIA Director George J. Tenet met with his counterterrorism chief, J. Cofer Black, at CIA headquarters to review the latest on Osama bin Laden and his al-Qaeda terrorist organization.

Black laid out the case, consisting of communications intercepts and other top-secret intelligence showing the increasing likelihood that al-Qaeda would soon attack the United States. It was a mass of fragments and dots that nonetheless made a compelling case, so compelling to Tenet that he decided he and Black should go to the White House immediately.

Tenet called Condoleezza Rice, then national security adviser, from the car and said he needed to see her right away. There was no practical way she could refuse such a request from the CIA director.


What Bush Knew Before Sept. 11

President Bush was told in the months before the Sept. 11 attacks that Osama bin Laden's terrorist network might hijack U.S. passenger planes - information which prompted the administration to issue an alert to federal agencies - but not the American public.

CBS News National Security Correspondent David Martin says the warning was in a document called the President's Daily Brief, which is considered to be the single most important document that the U.S. intelligence community turns out. The document did not, however, mention the possibility of planes being flown into buildings.

White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said that while President Bush was told last summer that bin Laden's al Qaeda network might hijack planes, "until the attack took place, I think it's fair to say that no one envisioned that [using planes as suicide bombs] as a possibility."

However, a federal report issued exactly two years before the Sept. 11 attacks contrasts with that statement.

The report, entitled the "Sociology and Psychology of Terrorism: Who Becomes a Terrorist and Why?," warned the executive branch that bin Laden's terrorists might hijack an airliner and dive bomb it into the Pentagon or other government building.

It described the suicide hijacking as one of several possible retribution attacks al Qaeda might seek for the 1998 U.S. airstrike against bin Laden's camps in Afghanistan.

Nothing here convinces me that the Democrats who obviously loathed Bush, who appointed the left lawyers that sat on the panel investigating 9/11 wouldn't have jumped at the slightest hint of a Bush involvement. That's the biggest barrier I have to believing anything that suggests Bush involvement.

I consider myself a reasonably good judge of character. Bush wasn't the smartest guy out there, but he certainly wasn't and isn't a 'bad' guy either. IMO.

Dont be disapointed , of course there are OS zombies afoot but generaly most people on ATS are aware the OS is a big fat lie and most know those buildings should not have collapsed because it defies science period. With that said the OS supporters arguments are moot because more and more people are waking up to this great lie. We are winning , at least the minds of the masses.

And maybe , just maybe the truth will be disclosed in oh say 50 years when nobody will care. I mean MKULTRA was declassified for example , there is no limits of evil that these men do. Operation northwoods.

Of course the aircraft were responsible for weakening the steel frame of WTC1 and WTC2, whereas, fires weakened the steel structures to the point of collapse. Here is an example where a private jet rammed into a steel frame building which started a fire. After a period of time, the fire weakened the steel structure of the hangar and the result was that the hangar collapsed upon the aircraft.

In videos, you can see debris from the collapse of the WTC buildings striking the ground while the collapse of those buildings are still in progress many stories above the ground.

So I DID post audio of the booms in series from WTC , then you tried to argue some nonsense about explosions going off all around NYC while ignoring all the evidence while claiming your opinion to be fact based. There was no way the government could have carried out the attack and not get caught red-handed, but it seems that truthers have been ignoring the fact that intelligence warnings issued from around the world, have warned that Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda would be responsible.

I also noticed that truthers have been ignoring al-Qaeda's martyr videos of the 9/11 hijackers as well.

I find these conspiracy theories regarding 9/11 tiring and pathetic.

I have also been keeping tabs on the hoaxed and bogus videos and photos they have been posting, some of which were deliberately planted in order to discredit the Truth Movement. They were warned and yet, they refuse to get the message that they were taken to the cleaners.

They haven't figured out that they have been taken to the cleaners in regard to a molten steel at ground zero claim. Perhaps, someone should have told them that explosives and thermite do not leave behind molten steel for hours, much less weeks later. If they had done their homework, they would have known that stored iron can generate enough heat to start fires.

Now, they are being taken to the cleaners by disinformation of Morgan Reynolds in regard to an inside job that never was.

Inside job is somewhat vague , it can mean a lot of things.

Bush had knowledge attacks were to take place before 9-11. He did nothing , that makes him accecory after the fact. And many key players knew as well it seems. Dick Cheney and Halliburton , the money trail leads back to those two Big Oil tycoons. The Saudi Royal Family. It appears Isreal had a part.

It's not like Bush and his cronies snuck in WTC 7 and planted demos like its watergate. In the late hours before 9-11 many black vans were seen parked around or near the world trade center with people coming and going undocumented. There were plenty of time frames where demos cold be planted during "renovations" yeah all that asbestos had to go , would have cost Larry "pull it" Silverstien a fortune but he so happens to be so lucky not to have to remove it now.

The left hand does not know what the right hand does , and in the alphabet soup of black projects that operate without congressional oversight through compartmentalization makes it very difficult to track down the perps.
