The Earth is floating in space and revolves around the sun. Your petty little retorts are getting you nowhere. Thanks for adding nothing.

Stand at the top of a mountain, and look around... the land looks like a big circle... also, because they looked at the moon... It's a circle in the sky (apparently floating).

Without experimentation and deductive reasoning, it seems like a logical assumption, with both those pieces of evidence, to assume a flat 'circular' floating world... which is exactly what they assumed.

Flat floating circle... the bible was/is wrong.

Fair point. But why didn't the bible give an accurate count at the time of writing? I'll tell you what - if it had done that, it would have a bit more credibility than it does now.

How do you know that we just haven't found the evidence for the timing yet. Do you assume archaeologist have discovered everything already? You do realize the King James version is not the original and it's definitely not accurate.

It's already been proven that you cannot see the curvature of the Earth by standing anywhere.

Also, the Bible does not say the Earth is flat. So, thanks for exposing your ignorance and the fact that you haven't read a sentence of the Bible.

Religion isn't an evil spirit (no need to personify it), it is a construct of man used for control.

I know the bible better than most religious people, and am very aware that it is used as a means of brainwashing and oppression... yet you seem to not understand that while you call religion 'flawed and corrupt', you are still pushing that 'flawed and corrupt' envelope.

You, walking with Christ, is the exact motivation for religion... keep you in line, and make you easily manipulated. You sir, have swallowed the religious hook, line and sinker whole.

Yes... the exact point I was making... the reason why the Bible suggests a "flat floating circle".

Thanks for reinforcing my point.

I have read it. It reads like an instruction manual of how to be afraid and believe in things children believe in.

It's all made up, used as a way to provide meaning to a bunch of scared people ignorant of the world around them.

People always want to know things and make sense of things -- it's in our nature to be so. And before we had a methodology to help us do that (ie: science), some people read that book and used it as a means for everything. And it isn't. At all.

It helped 1500 years. It doesn't help now. It's like reading a 5 year old's book on Mother Goose or the Tooth Fairy. It was interesting when we, as a society, we're small and dumb.

We are no longer that society. But again, feel free to use it as your source of education and wisdom.

Religion is indeed a evil spirit. Created by Satan to destroy mankind. My motivation for walking with Christ has nothing to do with religion. If you knew or ever felt the Holy Spirit you would feel like a fool for saying such things. I suggest you start over and try again because what you have learned is a lie and will destroy you.

What I do find very interesting is, a few hundred years ago, any of us arguing against the Bible and saying it's nonsense would have been tortured and killed. We were in the minority and you religious ones were the majority.

Now that it's reversed, and education and the proliferation of information is widespread, that veil of the unknown which you, the religious, claimed to "know" as God, is diminishing. You are now the minority and our questioning of your belief structure leads to your circular arguments.

However, none of us want to stone you, or torture you, or execute you. You're free to keep believing in your silly little child's book for as long as you want. But, not too long ago, roles reversed, your good book would have had us killed for even questioning it's validity.

Kind of funny. In a sad way...

Scared? If you are scared it is because you experienced the religious spirit rather than the Holy Ghost. There is no fear when you have the Lord in your life. Sounds like ISIS may have taught you how to walk because there is no fear, hate or sadness when you are truly filled with the Holy Ghost. I feel sorry for you and I hope you find your way one day. All you have to do is legitimately ask the Lord to come into your life, accept Jesus Christ as your lord and savior and mean it. It takes a lot of humility.

I'm sorry but the Bible does imply the Earth is flat.

The Earth has four corners:

Revelation 7:1
After these things I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, aholding the four winds of the earth, bthat the wind should not blow on the earth, on the sea, or on any tree.

The Earth has edges:

Job 38:13
That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, And the wicked be shaken out of it?

The line is marked across it (flat) instead of 'around it' (spherical):

Job 38:44
Where were you when I laid the earth's foundation?Tell me, if you understand. Who marked off its dimensions? Surely you know! Who stretched a measuring line across it?

And again, trying to push your poison onto people who don't want it.

Look - I went to school and had an education. I have no need of you falsities and lies and fairy tales. Please keep them to yourself. I'm not interested.

And I have no issue with your belief in them - I just find it a bit funny is all

Ahhh... me not believing your fairy tales will destroy me... lol... you don't realise how very influenced you have been by the religion you say is the work of Satan.

Your walking with Christ has everything to do with religion... your religion is, in fact, the reason you believe what you believe... you were given an answer (Christianity), then you have spent your life fitting the world to that answer... it is the exact modus operandi of all religions... for thousands of years... and it is wrong. It is also the exact opposite of science, which is to observe the world, then formulate answers (revise and repeat to check if answers are correct).

I have learned many things throughout my life... some contradictory to views held at younger ages (such as religion)... it is the constant evaluation and adjustment of my views and my interactions with the world and those around me that lets me gather knowledge and re-evaluate my place in the universe, constantly striving to be 'a better person' based on my perceptions... your religion fixes you to a single truth that has never (and never will be) proven.

Go read a good book on modern philosophy and religion (jesus, alah and all the rest) just seems elementary and childish.

Flat floating circle... the bible was/is wrong.

The most retarded person on the planet who ever existed,
would not suggest the earth is a flat floating circle. So to
try and suggest that this is what the Bible is saying is wrong.
Not to mention weak and completely hokey. If it's a lie about the
Bible tho, people will fight, kick and scream to believe it.
It's really very comical. Semantics.

Terry Pratchet made a whole lot of people very happy with his tales of a flat floating circle/disc world and he was a literary genius. Shame that the Bible, which lets face it is possibly also fictional to a certain extend, and a work of Man to boot, cannot achieve the same and causes such discontent in our world. Or is that just Christianity and organised religion in general?

So... enlighten me then... what is the bible saying when it says "circle of the earth... the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent..."?

Sounds like a flat earth to me, with a dome tent over it...

Uhm, Isn't that, kind of what everyone thought until around Aristotle?

And even then, it still wasn't accepted for some time to come that it was a sphere and not flat and round.

Actually our Earth is more of an egg shape or oblate ellipsoid than sphere, centrifugal force being what it is.
