The elves in that they believe themselves to be far superior to the other inhabitants of Middle Earth, or that they know their time is ending? The elves were really pretty dark folk. Maybe not the best thing to compare yourself and your fellow Swedes to.
Maybe the Halflings are a better example.

Tokien had a lot of racial symbolism in his work. The Dwarves being jews is the most obvious example and the Orcs were east asian, most likely Mongols. I've never heard that the Elves were Swedish though.

Tall, mostly blonde, fairly standoffish. I suppose that could be a stereotype of either.
Though I'm not vouching for it's accuracy.

ok...here is something to consider....the American capitalistic system has been a haven for foreign investors unsure about their own countries wealth protections....there is one thing America does really well....protect the wealthy investor...money has been poring in, even though the global economic downturn has had devastating affects in their own countries, they find stability in America.....they are not going to screw over the "golden goose"

This I know about. Really, the farther away from the Middle East you go the more peaceful the cultures will become. Examples being Scandinavians, Far East Asians and the rein herding nature peoples of the Northern hemisphere. Also, the Ainu people. There's something special about them.. I don't know if there's a connection to some other lost Northern civilisation. Did you know Indians speak of Thule?

I don't know the true reason for this though it checks out. Wanna know about this stuff, ask that blonde human looking ET that is over 200 years, just make sure he isn't a Nazi pioneer.

We'll see if this Blood Moon tetrad really is an omen of financial collapse. Feels like alarms blaring.

(P.S. Är ju faktiskt svensk själv.)

Tell me more about this hyper cube? You have piqued my interest with this. I must know about the hyper cube.

What new ruler do you speak of?

If it's the hypercube from "Cube 2", I'm just fine staying right where I am. No desire to go exploring that.

Yes.. or it might be a Tesseract Labyrinth. Or maybe Lemarchand's box.

Either way would be good for binding, of humans even. Still, I think I just took some kind of record in being off topic. Sorry ^^,

It's too bad a majority of people in civilized nations have no idea how to take care of themselves or even the resources to survive. This is what happens when you move into concrete jungles, don't know your neighbor and rely on big companies to keep food on the shelves...

I don't have to worry about any stock market or financial institution crashing.....I don't need them now and won't need them then.....

I'll leave it to Hank to explain to you city folks trying to stock up on Chef Boyardee how it's done

No, no.... Dwarfs are not one bit jewish, they're as Celtic and Nordic as Elves. The affinity for gold is simply because they're based off of Earth elementals.

Also, Orcs are obviously Middle Easterners and maybe a little Russian/Eastern European because there already are Easterlings and they're East Asian/Dark Elf like. Have you been in Turkey? You should see some of the mountains there, looks like Mordor.

Don't forget that Tolkien was a Christian. There is no jewry(is saying that racist?) in Middle Earth.

(Halflings are Dutch by the way)

Elves are based off of Northern and Western European paganism with a minor Far East Asian influence: because some of those Asian girls be looking like androids.. they even approach the uncanny valley which is also a definite Elf trait.

If someone had had the 33 degrees of initiation and were really a Master Mason then they would understand that Middle Earth was real and not in some symbolic archetypal way.

Wat?

The easterlings were asians and middle eastern. The Beorns and northern men where the scandinavians, the hobbits were obviously british. The numenoreans were our idea of atlanteans. Everyone else was just european. I would have said the dwarfs where spanish but they might also be greek, and the elves...not really sure about the elves....french/asian combo?

You do know Tolkien got his idea of Elves and Dwarves from Norse mythology right? I can't see any Spanish influence at all. Humans are mostly European though, except the Easterlings.

I would say Elves would be represented foremost by Celtic and Norse mythology. Using modern nations I would go with Scandinavia, the British Isles, France, Japan and perhaps with a minimal hint of Chinese.

Yeah, you can have the Lament Configuration, too.
And it is incredibly difficult to locate your stores of survival supplies in the Labyrinth. Storing them in the basement or a closet is a much smarter idea. (Grabs the wheel, swerves sharply to the left and BOOM! Crashes right back into the topic. How's that for driving?)

Yeah, it's real. We live on Middle Earth. Although one needs to accept the Duality to understand that.

Ive got giant sunchoke plants going. Jerusalem artichokes. They are over 12 feet tall. You let the plants die at the end of the season, and pull up the tubers only as you need them. Someone said something about knives. I have a knife collection. All kinds. I do have an important knife called a Ghurka Kukri. It is a new version made by Cold Steel. It was probably in the $120-130 range. Its is styled after the Ghurkas famopus weapon that wasted the English envaders, but made of stainless. It is very heavy and large. It can easily out chop a katana.
If bad times come, be prepared to not only exist, but to have a semi good time. Put away some gourmet foods. Be prepared to help your neighbors. Feed them and calm them. Give them safe haven as needed. Be a leader, and do what you can to secure your small portion of the planet. Let good morals and love be your compass. Let compassion and knowledge steer your decisions

I have 25-20 lbs of green unroasted raw coffee beans from around the world. I roast the beans as I need them so they stay fresh. I have probably 70 lbs of sugar. Plenty of Peak dried whole milk, lots of frozen cream, pounds of ghirardelli chocolate powder. I will be serving fresh tasty cappuccinos every morning to neighbors and friends. Keep spirits high! Take care of others who have needs.

There are Black forrest hams and Turkey breasts. Lots of grains and pastas so neighbors can have at least one big meal a day. That is enough to keep them from starving. I can always live off the land, but my first job is to make sure others who cant, will still be provided for. Many here on ATS are highly intelligent. It is our job to care for and provide for those who cant do that. It is our moral values that should dictate that

Outstanding post! You sound like a kind generous person. You are a survivor. You would likely be the leader everyone would look up to in a SHTF scenario. That attitude would be sorely needed if there were a catastrophe. And you have all the ingredients for cappuccinos! Friend for life there,
