It is an unfortunate coincidence that the S-4 model looks like Meier's beam ship--unfortunate for Lazar's credibility, that is, but that's what he saw. Lazar said there was a poster on the wall at S-4, a poster made from a blowup of one of the Meier photos...and the logo said "They're Here." He has told me from the beginning that the Sport Model, the one he saw fly during a test, was exactly like the Meier ship. He is well aware of what an inconvenient truth that is...the fact that so many people think Meier's photos were faked. He is not a supporter of Meier, and I doubt he has read a single book about Meier's case, but it just so happens that the one he saw looked exctly like Meier's. It is what it is, even though Lazar knows it does not help his credibility to describe the ship as identical to Meier's.

Good afternoon,

I had listened to an interview quite some time ago with Mr. Lazar and he had revealed that he, along with another gentleman, had purchased a decommissioned missile silo for purposes he would not reveal.

Has he ever come out and stated publicly what that purpose was, or has he confided in you anything you would be able to tell us?

Also, is he still working in the nuclear field through his personal business?

We all age. The first video of Lazar--the images that were seen first by most of the people on this thread--was recorded 26 years ago. I had brown hair back then. Wish I still had at least a few strands of brown left on my head.

Another possibility is that he was chosen because they knew he would blab eventually. I have asked Bob about this and he acknowledges it is at least possible. The guy raced jet cars, had a pirate flag flying over his house, was involved with a brothel operation--(which he listed on his professional resume back then). He was rebellious, a free spirit, and they had to know that going in. It is just a theory, but I have often wondered if they chose him for the job because he was smart, technically proficient, thinks outside the box, but also was someone they could easily discredit IF or when he spilled the beans. In that sense, with those parameters, he might have been the perfect candidate for the position.

Bob and some friends bought the silo as a business investment. They got a great deal on it, and mostly thought it would be cool to own one. I think they wanted to use it as a science playground...a place to experiment with the weird stuff that he collects. His friend Gene Huff also has a great business idea that would make use of the silo, but I can't give it away. The fact that the silo is near Roswell was an extra bonus since they realized the news that Lazar owned a missile silo near Roswell would send everyone in the UFO hierarchy over the edge.

Yes, I remember hearing that a man had committed suicide by setting his car on fire on top of the silo door and there were some cattle mutilations in the area. Which lead to a rumor that Mr. Lazar was working on a "laser gun". Quite humorous.

The weakest part of Bob's story is the college education stuff. I know this is where his critics want to focus, but it is something I have said in public dating back to the very first public presenation I ever made about the case.I don;t think Bob earned master's degrees from those two univerisites, for the simple reason that I can't see him sitting through all of the non science related course a person would need to earn an undergrad degree. English Lit? Not a chance. The critics who are toughest on Bob always focus on the college degrees and can't get beyond it. I think the focus should be on whether he worked on classified projects, had a security clearance, and was employed in positions where his job was to work on advanced stuff. We can't prove he went to MIT, but we have certainly proven beyond any doubt that he worked at Los Alamos on classified projects and that his co-workers thought he was a physicist, that the local newspaper back then described him as a physicist, and that both the lab and the headhunter firm that hired him (Kirk-Mayer) have lied about and hidden his employment records. Seems to me the important quetion is not where he went to school, but whether he worked on flying saucers. Based on what
I know,I think is is plausible that he would be the guy hired for that program.

Bob has toyed around with the idea of making a"death ray" for a long time. He was going to build something similar for Bob Bigelow back in the early 90's...not really a death ray, and not exactly a laser gun, but something in that general arena that woould have done some amazing (non Military) stuff. To my knowledge, he was never able to perfect it. He certainly did not use it to mutilate the cow that was found near his silo.

It lists his employers as the United States Department of Naval Intelligence whereas it is either more commonly known as the Office of Naval Intelligence.

We have a word for such a behavior here in my country this is called (translated) double moral. When the same thing is judged differently, depending on the person or group doing it.

Thank you for taking the time to explain that once again. This seems to be something that comes up so often but seldom it´s pointed out. I know Springer already pointed that out in the thread, but as you see it never ends.

This I think would lend credence to his ability, at least to work in that area/field.
Also at the time he states he worked at S4, what does the IRS say about his pay? It would not say "working on super secret stuff" but some place of employment in any event. and the amount would be, I venture to guess good for the time frame... 50k+ (circa 1988`89)
They would NOT give him or anyone cash payment...

I read an article about how old missle silos would be rebuild to bunkers for rich people who can afford it.
But I´ve no idea how plausible this would be and if missile silos are that wide to begin with. Just an idea.

Welcome! i guess my first question is Did Bob say anything new at all in those videos? the reason i ask is have read lots of stuff on it over the years and it sort of runs together. I am not sure what is directly from Bob and what is from people making similar claims about the same topic. I didn't see anything that made me say "hey! That's new right there!"[

The W-2 is like everything else in this saga...weird. I remember when it arrived and we were pretty excited. I had been requesting all sorts of records for Bob and had thedoors slamed in my face at every turn. The amount of taxes withheld was accurate. The salary was a small amount because in 89 he only visited the base a few times, then everything hit the fan, so that was accurate. But we noticed that it said "Department" instead of Office and figured it must be a way of messing with us. The employer number is where it gets realy interesting. Acouple of guys who were helping run things to ground followed that employer number as far as they could. It is a real number and was, in effect, something was traced to a government office that was. in essence, a dead end. It was real, but there was, in effect, nobody home. A guy named Bob Oechsler wrote about it and you can probably find his stuff online with much more detail about the W-2. Very strange.

at least some of the old silos were sold. -the ones that would not fit the new models of missiles. refitting them for new missiles was too much trouble. plus we have fewer missiles now than we did in the cold war. there have been TV shows on some of the silos being sold and their new owners projects and dreams with them. typically; rich people either make them into regular houses or make them into community survival bunkers and then sell memberships to well to do paranoiacs.

I don't remember anything new popping up in the February interview. it was probably new to a lot of people who had not heard it all before. For me, some of it was pretty fresh because I had not heard it in 25 years. It's the same story he has told me since 1989 but for people who have not heard the entire story, I am sure it felt new. The only entirely new material was about what hsi life has been like since that time and how he has tried to avoid the UFO spotlight...except when I pester him relentlessly. I told him that if he was EVER goign to do one of these things...a public interview...that this should be the year...the anniversary of when he first came out with the story. (Actually last November was the 25th anniversary but we marked it in Feb. of this year which is when the UFO Congress was held.)

Doesn't his abilities at making stuff kind of answer that question? he makes particle acceperators and makes pollonium with it. mkes a hydrogen fuel conversion kit way before it was a common garage activity. makes or attempts to make "death rays" for Bigelowe! Do you know who Bigelowe is? he's the dude making space balloon habitat modules and private space stations. Bob is taken quite seriously engineering wise if he runs in those circles.
