That was intended as a comment as you guys are tightening up the rules. It was not meant as complaint so apologies if it was read that way. Additionally, I don't want to derail the thread so if you feel you need to enlighten me further, perhaps a PM would be better.

Consider the possibility Pope Francis will announce ETs September 23 or about with Obama at the UN. Before becoming Pope, Francis was in an exobiology (ETs exist) study group. Introducing ETs brings in a million years of their history, science and belief that will overwhelm the Biblical stories we are stuck with. The last remnant of the Roman empire is pretty tough though.

Here is what is interesting. WHy do so many people think that a Alien race would not respect the wishes of a planets government?

If they are truly advanced since they are just visiting they would not know the lay of the political and scoietal landscape and could do more harm than good right?

Perhaps Star treks "prime directive" is not so far fetched maybe? There was a rule that if a planets rulers wished to be left alone and or refuse to disclose their being there they would respect it.

As a believer for pretty much my entire life I'll say this much. I've seen lots of crazy stuff in my life, but over the last few years almost everything has been debunkable. It's gotten to the point where I'm starting to think it won't happen in my lifetime.

So, to make a long story short, I'll believe it when I see it.
