It wasn’t exactly a surprise, but the White House gave a forceful defense of Planned Parenthood Wednesday and decried Republican lawmakers’ efforts to defund the organization in the wake of undercover videos revealing the sale of fetal tissue.
White House deputy press secretary Eric Schultz said he didn’t know whether President Obama has seen the videos because the president just returned Wednesday from a five-day trip to Africa.
But Mr. Schultz said White House officials are “familiar with the news reports, including that a lot of these videos have been edited.”
And he said the White House “couldn’t disagree more” with congressional Republicans who want to strip the organization of federal funding over the issue.
But just how much funding does Planned Parenthood receive from the government? In the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2014, Planned Parenthood had $1.3 billion in total revenue. Of that, $528.4 million came from government health services grants and reimbursements. The group says the vast majority of federal dollars it receives comes from Medicaid reimbursements for providing preventative health care.
That's why ending the flow of federal dollars isn't as simple as turning off the spigot. The laws governing Medicaid - the health insurance program for low-income families - prevent states from excluding certain providers solely because of other medical services they provide, like abortions. Those laws also say Medicaid recipients must be allowed to seek treatment from anyone who is qualified to perform the services. This is sometimes called a "freedom of choice" provision.
In other words, the bill introduced by the Senate Republicans Wednesday - if it were to pass - would violate existing federal law and almost certainly face a challenge in court, Susan Fogel, the Director of Reproductive Health for the National Health Law Program, told CBS News. [Source]

Fmr. Planned Parenthood Director Reveals Abortion Business Is Making $100 to $200 Profit Off Each Baby's Body Parts
"Shipping only costs a clinic $4 to $10 but they are sometimes charging $100 to $200 for each baby," Johnson told The Christian Post when asked if there's a profit to be made from the harvesting of aborted baby parts.

Fox News reported that Johnson was unable to provide any emails, letters, or other evidence to support her allegations about pressure to perform abortions.
...
Planned Parenthood stated that its records do not show any ultrasound-guided abortions performed on the date when Johnson says she witnessed the procedure, and the physician who performed abortions at the Bryan clinic stated that Johnson had never been asked to assist in an abortion. Although Johnson said the abortion was of a 13-week-old fetus, records from the Texas Department of Health show no such abortions performed at the Bryan Clinic on the date in question.
...
Johnson was put on a "performance improvement plan" four days before her resignation.

An acorn isn't an oak tree.
You're getting you're guide book arguments jumbled here. You're supposed to use that one when discussing fertilized eggs.
What is the difference when we're talking about "personhood"? After all, "Life begins at conception", right?

A corporation is a person.
Therefore, Abortions are SATAN.

so, if you give the fetus the rights of personhood, do they share equal rights with the mother that is carrying them? what if the interest of the two conflict? like say, I do know, the mother is discovered to have luekemia and needs chemotherapy to treat it? does the rights of the fetus to have a safe healthy womb to develop in trump the right of the mother to get her treatment?

...At least it's being put to good use in furthering research that can help others. Instead of, you know, rotting or being incinerated & thus being a complete & total waste entirely.
There's that "it" again. It's like that sociopath in the movie screaming, "It must put on its lotion" in preparation for some skin harvesting.
