The press is not allowed

Garbage, where did you get that nonsense from - so you think the press are not allowed in Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Colorado?

Only everywhere:
Jade Helm 15 media blackout: Press not given access to controversial military exercises
Jad e Helm 15, heavily scrutinized military exercise, to open without media access
Media will not be allowed to witness Jade Helm

Heck, we even talked about it on ATS
Press Banned from Jade Helm Exercises

I am only talking about Texas. I have no idea about the other states, sorry. They said they weren't allowing the press to film the exercise on my local news.

Please detail how they will stop the press filming the exercise.

Hint: They never said the press could not film the exercise

How is the media going to film anything if the media doesn't know when the military will be in the area to film them? We ARE talking about an exercise that is going to span the better part of the southwestern states. It's not like you can just train a camera on an area and hope the military comes through and starts conducting training in the area. Well you could, but you'd run out of camera awful fast.

In the whingey news articles about not getting access, what they're on about is that DOD will not give them access to the exercise management areas or embed them with the teams.

Not that they can't record anywhere that is legal.

Just for fun, I was taking a look at a certain web-site where the group is organizing to monitor the military activities. I'm not sure if it impressed me, or worried me.

They seem to be extremely organized. They have all kinds of documentation for how to identify vehicles and troops, and a reporting mechanism for volunteers to report exact locations, number of troops, etc. They have maps with pins to mark locations of troops. They do say they are not going to interfere, and are just observing.

I suppose that in a free country we should have a right to monitor what our government and military is doing. But, I wonder if that web-site could be used by terrorists? We know that military is a high-value target, and usually they are in their bases, which are protected. Now they are out in the public. I'm torn about if this public reporting is a good idea or not.

But that also made me wonder. Just as those Mohammed Drawing Contests seemed too ridiculous to be anything other than a trap to draw out extremists so they could catch them in the act in a controlled situation. If they catch one or more, that can lead to investigations locating others. It might be a long-shot, but I wonder if this whole thing is a trap to draw terrorists out into the open so they can pick them off, instead of waiting around for them to hit innocents?

But to those that think everything is a conspiracy theory, or believe everything Alex Jones says of course it must mean martial law, or gun confiscation!

Im in California, just below Sacramento. I work at a steel mill. This is my 35th year at the steel mill. There are railroad tracks next to the mill. Yesterday for the first time ever, I watched with dismay as a long train loaded with armored vehicles, tanks and millitary ambulances went by. I have never seen that before in all these years! WTF is up? They were headed north toward Sacramento. Pretty coincidental. First time in 35 years I have ever seen this. I was on a forklift and didnt have my cell phone on me or I would have video for you now. My phone is the samsung note 4 and far too large to carry around at work. All brand new millitary vehicles

They're either refurbished coming back to their unit or heading to one of the training centers. When they refurbish they strip them down to the chassis and replace anything that needs it, and rebuild everything else.

Why on earth does watching a normal train loaded with normal military vehicles cause you dismay?

We have to close them when we're digging the last stages of the massive tunnel to that location.

After they're "online", we'll reopen it. You can tell which major tunnel network it's on by the color or absence of the logo star.

Well that would mean at the very least that Wal-Mart wasn't lying when it said there were "plumbing" issues. New pipes ARE being laid, after all!

First time you've seen doesn't mean first time they've gone by, unless you were watching the tracks 24/7.

This is also the first time there has been this level of refurbishment has been required. There are two large logistics bases I go by in that area. Twice I've seen trains full of equipment moving, and several times I've seen a convoy of at least 50-60 or more driving down the road.
