cannibalism in a disaster situation

personally if it's a starvation scenario people would be on the menu too. I've never understood what the big deal is. I get its taboo, but at the same time I don't get it. meats meat.

besides what if the guy your eating was a real a hole like Hitler or something. seems fair.

not saying eat people for the sake of it. but in a starvation scenario or as a psychological tool on your enemies what's the harm. minus the fact that humans are probably the most toxic tainted Meat at you coukd eat, minus chowing down on whatever you find growing in some fukashina pond water.

Haha, nah, starving I'd probably just say it's grilled horses knob or whatever if indeed my starving child even asked before munching on the protein to stay alive.
...and going darker on-topic, for the record, I would eat a raw horses knob before eating a human, but to stay alive in desperate circumstances I would eat a human grill steak.

If you haven't stashed securely 5 years worth of food prior to a global cataclysm, chances are you wont have a running chance of survival. and eating people isn't going to work for you either unless you are another species

Eating people works fine. Well for some people anyway. Not everyone is vulnerable to Kuru. Those people would find human a perfectly acceptable food.

Addendum: Technically if we took bovines (cows) and systematically fed them all bits of cow, tested them for mad cow disease, and systematically bred all the ones that demonstrated immunity from this cannibal behavior while destroying all non immune specimens, in a few generations we'd have madcow disease immune cattle.

We go from this disgusting topic of cannibalism to an even more disgusting talk of choking down a "horse knob"?

It's far less unsavoury than some of the things many people eat though choice right now, even pay good money for it.

Meat is meat, the only difference is what you are used to.

True, I've eaten fried tarantula and insects before now.
I'd prefer horse knob cooked though, maybe chopped into a stew, even curried, all good.

I have no problem eating any animal meat I have eaten plenty of food that would be deemed disgusting in America but it's the way you guys are fantasizing about it that is disturbing.

Horse penis goulash would definately work.

The slow cooking would break down the sinew and tenderise the meat if marinated properly.

ETA: regardless of the cooking method I think I would have to chop off the end and discard it.

Well there is a fetish for this actually. A guy named DOLCETT tells of a world where females outnumber males 5 to 1 and they become a food source because animals have died off. They also invent a way to keep a"roaster" alive while roasting because it tenderizes the meat further.The chemical used also in turn makes the roasting pleasurable to them as well.

Only grade A are roasted though. the rest are butchered and made into other products.Some are exepmt from roasting though if they are ir replacable. Spit roasting a entire human is prolly the best way to prepare a human. spit them correctly and they can still breath apparently. Its surprisingly thought out but still twisted. they even have a gutting/auto spitting machine called the jessica 3000.

Do not inquire of how i found this. its as disturbing as 2 girls and one cup to me.

I've done survival training and you will do just about anything when driven by starvation .
You have to educate yourself on available consumable items which are all around you .
Having said that there are situations that could lead to no alternative to cannibalism .
and that situation is being ignorant of the alternatives .
