Being called out on hypocrisy and bigotry is not making White people victims. Any person of any race can be a hypocrite/bigot. I'm not sure what race has to do with that.

Damn right! They are preaching insanity if they think they can legislate, force, impose and "cure" opinion. It almost sounds like they want...oh, I don't know...to TELL everyone what their opinion must be. Is that possible? Is that legal? Personally...I think it is an abomination and probably the end of mankind if we allow ANYONE to tell us our opinions. We might as well be dead. How can YOU be YOU without what you think and believe? How can you be anything except for a robotic slab of meat without what you believe? Unless that is the goal.

The is one huge oversight in this: the parents.

In what world does a child 'inherit' homophobia? Children are impressionable and I doubt that intolerance is a genetic trait. We are now living in a world where kids have to be taught about domestic violence, racism and homophobia. How do kids know about these things? because they hear or see their parents commit these acts.

They say that education starts at home and the kids shouldn't be held accountable for what they absorb after the school day is done. The parents need schooling too.

While it may sound extreme, and I did question it at the time...envisioning the thought of people going about their daily life without the right to have their own views brought up farm animals to me. So I went with it.

There is zero proof or documentation that a person can change their sexual orientation.

Can a person with homosexual orientation make the choice not to act on it? Yes. But, why should they?

I just remembered something from the sixties when I was in high school,

If you wore green on Thursday you were gay, only they didn't use that word, I was in high school and didn't know what that meant, because it was something never talked about in my home or church.

Some supporters of marriage inequality wish to get rid of the 1st Amendment and force their religious view of marriage by stopping gay marriages from happening. Yes, gay marriage is legal now, but if they have Freedom of Speech to talk about their un-American, unconstitutional, discriminating ideas, then other people have The Freedom of Speech to call them out on their bigotry and hypocrisy.

Love and Acceptance means being against and speak out against inequality, and choosing to love thy neighbour as thyself, instead of treating them as inferiors with less rights.

Sad to say, but their fight isn't over. You see...in my opinion their goal was never gay rights or gay marriage. It is some need deep inside them to force everyone to accept and approve of them. Granted, I'm sure this doesn't apply to the entire group, just the fringe. It is the same with other groups to some extent also. They will lie to get a little further, but the end goal is to force everyone to believe as they do. They don't seem to understand that people have opinions and a right to those opinions. No one HAS to like their opinions but EVERYONE has to adopt their opinions. This will go on forever. Just look at the black community. We are all equal...it still isn't enough.

Correct, we are not done.. I've spoken about this in so many topics, but i'll reiterate. we still need Federal Protection, 31 states can fire a GLBTQ+ person, can deny services and housing. we still have Blood Donations, Adoption, Property. on top of the Violence abuse and Death GLBTQ+ People receive.

so you are correct, we are not Equal yet, but the fight continues

And I won't argue with you, because I don't know you, that you may fully believe that. But it won't stop there in my opinion at least for those on the fringe. I have run into a lot of such people who won't be happy until everyone pronounces in unison "we accept you and share your beliefs". That won't happen. Don't get me wrong...I am all for equal rights for everyone. But you know if you are honest, that their are those hard-core extremists that will never be happy.

And there will always be those on the opposite side that hate because they hate. Again...not everyone...just the fringe.
