Oh lord, that was so deliciously bad.

One: Stage Lighting clearly visible in the barn, to make things look all FLASHY AND COOL.

Two: Stock footage "static cutout" used three separate times with zero variation on pattern or noise.

Three: Really? Going the whole "We lost most of our footage due to electromagnetic interference" route? Then you claim you might be able to recover it. Well, I guess for people who built a time machine they didn't much research into how electomagnetism affects digital systems. If an EMP was of sufficient strength to wipe data on the camera, it's gone. Forever. You can't "recover" data like that.

You know what would have been cool? If they had a "live" broadcast on Youtube with a pre-recorded video of it all going wrong then a cut to the camera slowly rotating in space with a cool looking planet coming in and out of view. Then cut to black.
