Are you going to keep listing sources that have zero knowledge about what suboxone is?

It is used to treat addiction, to call that a powerful mind altering drug is just ignorant.
It literally does the opposite and blocks that from happening if you were to introduce an opiate to your system.

I agree with the angle about the meds, but sorry, this guy does not qualify based on the suboxone alone.
We already discussed this, there is a >1% chance of hostility because of the drug.

New news, he bought his gun alone, not given.

www.cnn.com...
He himself bought the .45-caliber handgun used in the shooting last April at a Charleston gun store, according to the two officials.

So how did he pass a background check if bought the gun after his 21st birthday in April, several months after he was arrested on felony charges?

This story is all over the map. First, everybody's sure it was a birthday gift from his parents:

www.nydailynews.com...
Roof’s uncle, Carson Cowles, said the suspect’s dad, Ben Roof, gave him the pistol for his 21st birthday in April — a present that delighted the shy young man with a bowl haircut. ....
“He said, ‘I got to go, I’m outside shooting target practice right now,’ ” Cowles said.”

(The kid is blasting caps in his backyard? Does this uncle really sound like a credible source about anything?)

Then they implied his parents had possession of the gun, but Roof stole it from them:

ops.beforeitsnews.com...
Justin Meek, a friend of Dylann Storm Roof, told Greta Van Susteren Thursday night that his friend had taken his gun back from his mother a couple of weeks ago. ... ....According to Meek, Dylann’s mom had confiscated the gun because she didn’t trust him with it.

Next: Watch for it, they're going to claim the murder weapon was something other than the .45 Glock Roof allegedly owned. You'll notice they have NOT yet claimed that the pistol is ballistically linked with the bullets fired in the church.

After a criminal case ( drug ( pills ) + trepassing )

USA gun law are RIDICULOUS.

NRA are killers, they profit on people killing people!

NRA are not for "Hunter" they are for conspiracy KILLERS that BLOCK and CONTROL your gouvernement!

But yeah, conspiracy that are REAL are less fun then Illuminati or Jade Helm .... COME ON.

You all should rise up against NRA, making people kill innoncent THEN making "Sale on gun 40% off" each time a mass attack occur.

USA look so DUMB on the face of the world xD... It's so pathetic, i came here each time of a mass murder gun freak is out. AND EVERYTIME people here don't talk about NRA NEVER.

Does NRA sponsor this website ?

LOL, of all the things in the world we need to stand up to the NRA

Nice try!

Background checks - an arrest doesn't prevent a purchase. A conviction or being under indictment does. He obviously hadn't been convicted yet, and I don't know if he was under indictment or not.

Shooting - what's so strange about shooting on one's own property? If you have the land to do it safely, what's the problem? One of my best friends owns 80 acres and hasn't been to a gun range in years.

So anti gun rhetoric is exploiting the dead but we sure as hell can talk about more guns being the solution....
Double standard for sure.

I was guilty too and going to retract my question that was leading.

THAT'S RIGHT!!!

Bringing your gun grabbing politics in this story where the dead are not even cold yet
to make a point however illogical that point is like MORE GUN CONTROL
DURING WHILE THIS IS GOING ON IS EXPLOITING THE DEAD!!

USING the freshly dead black people in this church as a
*i told you moment* PULLING and pushing PEOPLES emotional anger into your
political anti-gun toxic waste bringing the DEAD into a situation that's fluid
right now IS EXPLOITING THE DEAD... Bring up gun control when the bodies have
been buried at-least, some of you people ARE just SICK!!!

If the NORKs had guns..well, we'd be buying TVs from them.

Gun Rights in America exist for one purpose, and one purpose only:

Defense.

Defense of your life. Defense of your Liberty.

Full stop.

How 'bout the reason he was/is taking the stuff?

Demonic addictions create permanent damage most of the time.

Long term permanent damage.

You can't hide from the Sun.

Oh please, in most parts of the country now, if you are arrested for domestic violence, they will instantly demand you hand your guns over.

Anyway the drug arrest thing back in February is now in play. This site said he was busted for something other than Suboxen:

radaronline.com... aine-meth/
According to South Carolina court documents exclusively obtained by Radar, Roof, 21, was arrested in Lexington County on felony charges of possession of coc aine, methamphetamine and L S D on February 28, 2015.

BTW, what was the disposition of this Feb 28 arrest? Not a peep about that!

Yes, because domestic violence will keep you from getting guns. You do know it's like...published information right? I didn't just pull it out of my rear end. You can like....see it for yourself.

But meh. I'm sure you know better than I do

ETA - oh, yea. You're also referring to guns already owned. Which is a teensy bit different than purchasing guns.

But again, I'm sure you know better than I do

Did you intend to post the link to the same story twice?

Their claims are based upon ,"according to users on online forums". I would say that is not exactly a scientific study.

Seems pretty crazy that someone so messed up on those drugs would be allowed a gun or could pass the checks.
If I was the person signing the permit,I would refuse such an application.

Ever been around someone who truly went off their meds. Decided since they felt ok why do they need them and then suddenly they beat the # out of someone and put them in the hospital for 2 weeks? Knew they needed something and decided to self medicate?

Or how about the one about the person who sits on a bed and wonders if it is better to shoot themselves or 4/5 others that would complete them before they die?

Or how about the junkie who went off his meds and his mind literally started to crumble because of the hallucinations?

I can associate personally with all 3 of the above with different people.

It keeps you in check...

Did you see him at his hearing? His was coming down...trying to figure out just what the hell he had done. Like Holmes. Guys mug shot was out of it.

This kid was nuts, had some weird ideology about the world and hurt 9 families for no reason. I think we need to stop the rationalization and realize that there are lots of racists out there, and most, are cowards. I still find it odd what he said during the shooting, that he wanted to shoot 'black people'. not something a racist would say....

I agree coming off of them may cause the issues.

My point was the articles being posted where about how it was some mind altering drug when in reality it is not.
Or that violent outburst are linked with that drug when that is just untrue as well.

I hope you are joking classifying it as demonic...

That stance is still not the meds causing it, because that med is pretty much a replacement.
So it satisfies the crave but doesn't give the affects of an opiate.
