I think most people do, I never hear this discussed anywhere but here.

I know it hurts your feelings....

but...

I. simply. do. not. care. about. your. parts. or. who. you. screw.

I don't care. I will never care.

I simply get sick of having to be bothered by your problems. We all have problems. We all are judged at times unfairly. But most of us just get on with it and have a go at life.

This is not about hurt feelings, this is about one of the most misunderstood, feared and hated communities not having to worry about being beaten to death going to the grocery store or having to be subjected to hateful verbal abuse. Stare and gawk all you want, I would stop and pose for a photo but leave the hate speech and violence at home.

You understand that no matter what, not all violence will stop?

We all have to worry that when we step out our number will come up and someone will decide to assault us ... just 'cause.

And just to be clear, I am not a big proponent of hate crimes. And assault is an assault. If someone beats the crap out of me because they want something or they beat the crap out of you because of what they think you are, we were both assaulted which is already a crime. Does the motive somehow make your assault more egregious than mine, your hurts worse than mine?

I am not sure if people are "afraid" as you put it!! That is always the go to excuse for people claiming discrimination.

I am not afraid or anything of the sort. I dont care about yours or other peoples personal "struggles", hardly third world problems are they.

What I dislike is that all these things start being thrown in our faces and laws are made to support and protect "minority" or "discriminated" people which I believe is crap.

Look at the Homosexuality or Religious agendas. Now laws have been passed that we MUST accept these things even if OUR personal beliefs dont tie in. HOW is that for irony.

I dont care whether you are trans, gay, black or a damn alien just keep the hell out of my life and stop causing things to effect it. Like having our children's school changed to accommodate this. Having kids FORCED to drop gender roles in school, having our kids FORCED to accept what in some part is against nature and the way we were supposed to be.

YOU have the right to live your life freely and in peace and that should be the case for everyone. And I hope you do eventually. BUT if you think I will sit here and except that my life and world has to change to accommodate something I do not support or want in my life then that is too bad. That is NOT my BELIEF. But i suppose my belief doesn't matter as its not the fad of the day!!!

However, nice post and I hope you get some answers that you wish to hear. But please be a bit stronger in character. Stop blaming family and others for your depression. Your depression is because your mind is weak!!

You could go live in a cave.
You seem to want the benefits of a society but not the tradeoffs.

Guess what? The world does not revolve around you and what you want. Your rights end where others' start. It's not a new idea.

You are absolutely right all violence will not stop, but that is no excuse to not make an attempt to educate folks that it is not ok to verbally or physically abuse someone that you do not like or understand. Oh and I agree with you on the hate crime thing btw. You are right that any violent act against anyone is just the same as another so try again with that one.a reply to: ketsuko

I find your response to be absolutely ignorant and uneducated. First of all "it" is a completely uncalled for and mean spirited label for any HUMAN BEING. Secondly have you ever considered why homelessness and drug abuse may be rampant in that community? Hmm lets see its usually referred to as discrimination in the case of homelessness. As far as the drugs go I'd be willing to bet a large portion of that is due to depression and a desire to numb the pain and sadness of feeling alone in a hateful world. Food for thought. a reply to: khnum

I think most of the problem transgenders, gays etc have is imagined. Their community is forever discussing the issues of hate against them and so they start thinking this is true and take it out on those who have not even uttered a word of hatred.

YOU are responsible for planting the thoughts of unacceptance which causes the depression and struggles. "Better not tell your parents or friends you're gay, you'll be hated, disowned etc etc". I know this is fact. I had no idea my daughter was being tormented by the fear of coming out as gay. She told me and her next comments were do you hate me now, are you disowning me? Well of course I still love her and I was stunned she was so scared since I'd never talked badly about being gay. ' Well it's just all my friends warned me this can happen and I've been so scared'. She felt shame for absolutely no reason. By the way as far as I know she has never been bullied about this in any way. Nobody' seems to care if she's a lesbian. She's married now and very happy

So instead you should be talking more positively and giving reassurance. See if your suicide rates drop then.

I don't think the majority are against you. Not at all. It's when you keep proclaiming we ALL are that we have to defend ourselves and in doing so we say things that might be taken as offensive.

Personally I don't find any of it "disgusting" . Some in here have said it is to them. I don't care, do whatever you like. Be true to yourself, I'm not offended or disgusted

What I don't get is why do you have to have this group name or community you refer to yourselves as. LGBT. Why is that? I don't think we called you that. It's something you came up with on your own to have a label assigned to your cause for when you want to rant and rave about things. You are human beings, we all are and I wish you would feel better about yourselves to just call yourself that.

Incorrect "buddy".

Less than 1 percent of the population that effects 100 percent of the population is an inconvenience and a bother. This makes me sound rude... but at least I have the guts to verbalize what is true.

Perhaps you would like to be inconvenienced with "truths", protests, lawsuits, parades, and an in your face sales job from jehovah's witnesses.... no you wouldn't like it. None of us would.

For the majority of the public we don't give a rats ass about what pieces parts they have, who or what they screw, and how.... They majority doesn't care. We are just sick of such a minority bitch and moan for attention and distraction.

The reality is that noone really gives a # about gay or transgendered persons unless its in our face or an inconvenience. They need to get on with their lives and give life a go. Persons with 3 tits also are under 1 percent of the population.. we don't hear anything from them.

If this transgender person would like to take up a fight against the 3% extreme right wing.... fine... go get them girl!!! Just leave me out of it.

BTW, Jehovahs witness people I know are good people.

Cheers

There's a myriad of reasons...Off the top of my head:

1. You have people who follow their religious dogma to the word, and believe that they will be cursed if they support anyone that identifies as something other than a "true" man/woman (IE: Someone who is male on the outside, male on the inside, and thinks like a male). We're in a society that somehow thinks that gay marriage is bad, so is it any wonder no-one seems to support your side?

2. You have people that fear anything that is different from what they are used to - For example, I actually used to avoid people that weren't "straight" back in Middle-school, because I was actually worried about one of them hitting on me! Obviously, I'm not that way now - I've been hit on by guys before, and I actually feel a bit better about myself (not that I'm going to switch anytime soon - it's just a good feeling knowing I'm not completely ugly).

3. You have certain individuals that try to change every little thing so that it supports them. Sadly, it only takes a few individuals to make your cause look bad, or skew it from its original purpose. I'm not talking people like you, but people that would make a big, bold statement (with lots of press) for doing something that would classify as "baiting" (IE: Going into a store, and asking for an item supporting your cause, and then posting it all over the news when they refuse to honor your request because the message doesn't agree with their views).

4. You have uneducated people running the country - people that are not very supportive of anything other than heterosexual to begin with.

Now, onto me - Yep, I'm straight, and I'll say this: If you are transgender, I have nothing against you. The only problem you'd have with me is I do have a bit more strict dating preferences with non-straight people. it's not a "I hate you" type thing, but more so because when I have dated in that pool, I noticed most of the relationships didn't last as long (we found that we always made better friends than lovers; so it could just be my area).

well speaking from another transgender girl's perspective, um... maybe they shouldn't be teaching gender fluidity to all our children at school... maybe that will screw the kids up somehow? that seems to be the problem. I hear people on here defending the innocence of their children. as a 26 year old, I cannot argue with that. but everywhere I go people are mostly really nice to me. somebody even wanted to pay for our fertilizer at home depot. but you should be my friend

What? They don't have lives?

You are part of a community. What do you think about during the day?

My guess is - - you think about: "did the laundry get done", "do I need to go to the store to get something for dinner", "did I pay the cable bill", etc etc etc..

Yeah, kind of like that. Probably no more then you think about something that's important to you - - but it doesn't rule your life.

That makes you the minority.

By that standard, bearded white men should be avoided because most crazy people I see on the street are bearded cisgender white guys.

The truth is that was likely not the first nor last transgender person you've seen. Understand, that the majority of people you see who've transitioned, you would never notice. You may have flirted with one, for all you know.
