The Shed 3

Good Night! OR Good Morning Everyone! Whichever is applicable!
Up since 12 or so here with the youngest. The latest round of super intense Norovirus has hit our area and even with all precautions and sanitary procedures in place, she has managed to contract it.
My nephew stayed with us a few days and suffered with it and left earlier on Tuesday. Now, I suppose it's her turn. As all of you are aware, it will pass, likely, through the entire house.
It's hitting her (the symptoms) like clockwork. About every 50-60 minutes or so she runs to the bathroom.
She says, "I feel bad for you staying awake with me and then having to go to work".
I told her, "It's all part of it, there's nothing I wouldn't do".

Anyway, I hope everyone is well, I've written some in between the bathroom trips...not much really...it will never be a masterpiece but, I certainly enjoy it and the outlet that the Shed provides. I hope some of you find enjoyment as well...

"Bird hit the floor with a thud. As her vision was leaving her she saw the human, bending down and felt his gentle touch scooping her up.
Before she lost consciousness and fell limp in his hands, she caught a glimpse of the most hideous and grotesque human woman that she had ever seen and she was standing just behind her savior!"


Bird awoke to the sound of soft purring. As she raised her head from her chest she opened her eyes and saw the large black cat staring at her. With bared teeth and massive shoulders hunched forward he looked as if he would pounce and eat her. The door to the cage was OPEN! “Oh no!” The Bird thought, “This is it!” Bird hopped to the back of the cage, so close that she felt as if she could almost slip through the bars. His large head was too close to the opening for her to try for escape. The cat blinked his emerald green eyes slowly and moved his paw toward the open cage door.

Panthera had extended one of his razor sharp claws and was pushing a leaf toward the opening of the bird cage. “You must eat and it appears as if you don’t prefer lizards.” The Cat said, as he glanced toward the long dead dinner that he had brought the Bird the night before. “Perhaps some winter berry then”. The Cat reached into the cage and collected the dead. With his sharp claws he slung the lizard against the wall of the cave. It landed with a dull and heavy thud.

Bird was so hungry and she desperately needed to get out of this cage and spread her wings. Surely the Cat knows how risky it is for her life to keep her imprisoned indefinitely. Possibly, she thought, if she played along and gained his trust, he would allow her to be free, even for a short time. Bird hopped toward the doorway and lowered her beak. The berries were sweet and soft. She ate them while the Cat watched her carefully through those penetrating eyes. When she was finished Panthera slowly closed the door and with lightning fast speed had secured the lock back in its place.

“We must get a move on” Panthera said “We have many miles to go before rest again”. The massive Cat bent down and collected the cage in its mouth and set off out of the entrance to the cave. The sunlight coming through the leaves that were left on the trees caused shadows to dance on the freshly fallen snow. The shadows danced and weaved like pixies. Bird took in a deep cold breath of the crisp morning air. Perhaps today she would find a way to gain the Cat’s trust and escape. She couldn’t help but wonder why on earth they would be going to Black Mountain.

As they set off down the outcropping Bird startled as she swore she saw a dark shadow to her right, just up the hillside away, it seemed to be pacing along with the Cat’s steps. Bird gazed up at the wispy clouds, dreaming of taking flight on the breeze and swirling up toward the warm sunshine, and just then heard a loud swoosh. “That sounded like…wings” Bird thought “If they were, then they were huge. Was that the black shadow that she saw as they were leaving the cave?”.

Thank you. I was going to use dialoge with nothing but palindromes, but it got pretty confusing for anyone who didn't see what i was doing.
I might still do a bit of it in the future. That Weird Al video is one of his best.

As far as A Dragon being needed... Well... There are many Dragons in the Keep, for Story Use.
I shall be in the skies for a time. I will however, have to land some day! LOL!! ...

There was a time when,
all in My World was well.
When I could come in here,
for a break from Real Life's Hell.

Just to be near all of You,
so deeply embedded in My Heart,
Would make My days go very well,
Having The Shed as a Wonderful place to start.

I have to go now,
on a journey to make peace,
with all that has been consuming My days,
the negativities that will not cease.

With great sorrow and sadness I must leave All of You now.
But know that in My Heart I carry You, and someday I shall return.
Hopefully Some day soon, some how...

Mason, you have to understand that there are rules at this site and the shed is not Immune to those rules. We have worked for years to create this place as a safe haven and magical place. To have it shut down would be devastating to all.

Hi guys

The new job's going great thanks Night I'm the top furniture maker and just received my bonus In fact our jobs are the reason for the big move, we work about 1.5 miles from each other so the journey is just a pain in the butt, makes sense to move closer to work.

We both love our jobs and feel it's about time we bought our first home together, as the flat is mine.

Today we received some great news, the house next door to the one we fell in love with will be on the market as of Thursday next week and we already have our viewing booked 2 more to look at in the meantime.

I was rough for about 8 weeks mates, I'm still pretty snotty but at least I feel relatively human now, it's the world's longest lasting man flu............................But it does end
