Campaigns in defense of formal charges of heinous crimes, including violent, hateful, or sexual acts

Those "terms of service" sums it up. Good. With the video that SOB is going down. Good Residence.

Im afraid to say this as it really isn't my thinking...but I just can't help myself:

So if the policeman was gay, would gofund be in all kinds of trouble for not allowing this fund raiser?

I don't in anyway support discrimination of any kind, but there is a very serious issue here, how do we justify the pizza joint not being able to follow its personal business ethic, yet (and for obvious good reasons) Go Fund exercises the same and it's just fine.

AGAIN, I am not for discriminating against ANYONE, but we have a major problem with the law here imo. This tragic case illustrates it very well.

Because pizza joints don't come with Terms and Conditions agreements you sign before eating there.

Do they?

...and being gay is different to being a cold killer.

actually many places post they reserve the right to refuse service. Again, just asking the question, as I find our social system becoming very blurry.

I can be pretty sharp if you let me get my full 8 hours.

Also I declined drinking with my co-workers after work yesterday morning. That helps too.

No, they have the right not to attach their business name to private events.

She asserted that “there is a difference between operating in a public market space and then attaching the name of your business to a private event,” acknowledging that she would turn down a request to organize an anti-gay marriage rally. While speaking to radio host Jeff Adams, Hoffman shared her view that the gay community should be especially attuned to discrimination and disavowed those who try to silence anyone with whom they disagree.

You really think like that...the cop just didn't just shoot him...he just didn't Want to put in record that he lost his taser...he then drops the taser next to the perp...would love to swear right now,the cop is nothing more than a scum criminal.
Nothing more nothing less....if these are the folks you want protecting your loved ones then you my friend can keep them...disgusting act.

Whatever, the guy was obviously a cold killer and wouldn't get my business, even if I risked a civil court case.
I can't believe anyone is actually bleating about this FFS.

It's a moot point because of the TC's. They don't allow fund raising for criminal defenses to anyone. That was my mistake. However to the greater point of your post, it's not the cop who tried to set up the campaign but someone else and regarding the general issue not this specific case, I think it's time Americans put on their big boy/girl panties and realized that if you're going to do business with the public you can't throw a hissy fit if you don't get to discriminate.

Yes, but that right to refuse service is not unrestricted. A restaurant without that sign has the exact same right to refuse as a restaurant with the sign.

Restaurants are a place of public accommodation. GoFundMe is not.

Sigh...I am asking a question of peers, I do not in any way support what this scumbag did by bshooting that poor man and father...God people here can't DISCUSS anything.

I am trying to rectify a question, all your doing is being emotional where it doesn't belong.

Why use emotive terms like hissy fit?
I would happily refuse the guy my business with no emotional 'hissy fit' just a calm decline of my services.
Would you offer this killer cop your business if you had one then? Is that what you are saying?

What a silly comparison...sorry...it is not a crime to be gay....but killing someone is....sorry...I know it is opinion...but sometimes opinions can be utterly wrong....and frankly...what a crappy comparison...the cop not only shot the man...but tried manipulate the crime scene....what a scum bag....and frankly people trying to raise money for this scum bag...should also consider themselves accomplisis to murder.

No particular emotional influence in my contributions here, I am just making an observation that anyone bleating about this company denying service to something they decide is against what they stand for is an indication that the people bleating may be happy to offer the cop their business.
That is my debating position in this thread, I hope I have articulated myself well enough for that position to be understood.
No particular emotion from me tonight, I'm well chilled out with my cat.

Ahhh I see...you only accept answers that suit your thought pattern...so only things that fit your prerequisite would be the only acceptable response....gofundme took the moral high ground here...and did absolutely the correct thing....kudos to Gofundme
