it wasn't that long ago that the usa had segregated units based on race, that changed, it was there due to the stupidity and ignorance of society at that time. im sure that change was seen as pc rubbish too.

An army is there for defence Of a nation. everyone in that nation should have the opportunity, if they have the ability to serve, regardless of race, gender, sexuality etc.

You only have to look at ww2 and see it wasn't just white young straight men in a uniform putting themselvss in danger to fight for freedom. Today, through the changes the army etc have made to allow recognition of that. At the end of the day, if you are fit and have the right attitude, gender, race and sexuality isn't an issue.

The way (I may have the wrong type of unit) speacial forces in the us are trained in combat has changed from a one of 'kill the enemy' to one of 'kill to defend' as they were finding recruits who leftbthe service were prone to violence towards civilian s upon leaving the army.

Not sure about restricting lads mags, seems daft but not everything will be perfect.

Considering Obama and much of his administration are Alinskyites, and Firm believers in the 'Cloward-Piven Strategy’ I believe his 'eight levels of control' plays into the military as well.

How to create a social state by Saul Alinsky:

There are 8 levels of control that must be obtained before you are able to create a social state.

The first is the most important.

1) Healthcare — Control healthcare and you control the people

2) Poverty — Increase the Poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them to live.

3) Debt — Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.

4) Gun Control — Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.

5) Welfare — Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food, Housing, and Income).

6) Education — Take control of what people read and listen to — take control of what children learn in school.

7) Religion — Remove the belief in the God from the Government and schools.

8) Class Warfare — Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to take (Tax) the wealthy with the support of the poor.

Debt, education and Religion being the major contributors considering the military, IMHO.

I agree that there definitely needs to be a line drawn, but it should be drawn by everyone, not one side over the other. If both sides of the argument have a screw you attitude, then unfortunately, I don't see much of anything being done.

Well I don't know the statistics of who is gay or no in the military. And I certainly don't think that there should be any unfairness to any group in the military, or any institution. But this cavalier screw you attitude is what stagnates progress. Right now there seems to be a conflict in the way the military is run which is driving away honorable, hard working individuals that want nothing more than to protect their families which is not a good scenario and obviously needs to be corrected. I don't have the answers, I was just stating that there should be tolerance both ways and that the guy in the video didn't need to sensationalize an already important topic that speaks for itself by adding it phases like "glorious battlefield experience" and "enemies of freedom".
