I am no internet ninja ...
Can I take on a marine, hell if I know...lol. I do think military personal of all countries think to highly of themselves though. Does make me laugh though, when your cowardice is outed and you start posting in an effort to belittle those of us who can see it. Like I said...if you are disabled, elderly, sick, small or simply a coward then keep your guns.

I am just stating facts. It is true...if your entire safety is dependent on guns..then it would be wise to stay out of other countries..you will just end up getting your butt handed to you.

It is too late for America to do anything about guns..any common sense laws would truly have no effect. The ease of gun purchase there has made it one of the Utopia's for criminals. Other places where guns are easily available also have criminals running the show. The difference is..America is supposed to be a civilized country..yet crime is exactly like a third world country.

You know how rare it is for mass shootings in Canada, death from a crime or simply being a victim of violent crime..very. Yes, it happens but we are not living in fear like people do in America.

Gun advocates love to put bring up a story here and there of bad instance of crime in other countries where common sense gun laws prevail..but guess what..for every single story you bring up..we can match your story but also have more to go along with them.

If guns made the world safe...America should be one of the safest..it isn't...you not only have to worry about criminals but also regular citizens. It is worse from citizens...because you have no idea what to expect from them. Could a movement from you instill fear in them and then they feel the need to use a gun, an argument gets out of hand..etc, because cowards have no boundaries...the instant they feel fear....they grab the nearest item for protection. In Canada...don't talk sh*t if you are unable or unwilling to back it up. In America a coward has protection and can talk all the crap they want..because they got a gun to bail them out.

America asks.."we are being bombarded with immigrants criminals ..why" because you can have it all in America, without the third world conditions, guns, crime, mayhem, it is a criminal Utopia.

I can't afford to pick and choose where I live, but as city suburbs go, this isn't the worst place in the world to live. At least the only people I have to worry about owning guns are the criminals, whose habitats I know just as well as they do, and know when to avoid them.

So, none of the Non-Criminals have firearms....You are sure of that.

Again, best that you stay where you live. For the love of all that is Holy, don't come to the US. We are all like *pew pew pew* and "stick-em up" and stuff.

Not enough of them to be any deterrent to the armed criminals, if their current sources of income dried up.

Check that, two pages ago.

Oh, so now the story changes. There are probably some that do have firearms.

Anything else you want to change your mind on?

This one?

And if that person breaks into your home?

Which person are you talking about? The 220lb behemoth? I have a cosh weighing a couple of pounds that will cancel out his weight advantage.

I see, so it is safer to engage an armed felon in hand to hand combat rather than defend your self with a firearm at a safe distance.

I haven't done my own firearms census, and as I have no interest in them, I don't go looking for the latest official figures. All I know is that I've lived with my eyes and ears wide open for 50+ years and I've never heard of one law abiding citizen who owns a working firearm.

You never said he was armed. Is he waving the gun about menacingly, or is he hiding it until the last second?

Or are you referring to his crowbar or other tools of the trade? You've got to be more specific when you're inventing your fantasy scenarios where you'd save the day with your boom stick.

Who said he needs to have a firearm? Armed is armed and they are in your home.

Personally, I am not going to run up and hit them with my fists or a cosh. I am going to deter them with the most effective means possible, a gun.

Yes unfortunately. As PC and sympathetic that I try to be, Ignorant people still do seem to get under my skin. I know I should just ignore you, tell myself, 'don't be so hard on him, I'm sure he's not trying to be stupid' but alas none of us are perfect.

But then there's what's happening in America now, and the time to be PC is over, we've let the crazies rule the roost, and who knew there were so many of them?

Cool. I wish I could live in the same magical land as you were someone cannot kick a door down in seconds or pick a lock without disturbing you from your one-eyed, ever-vigilant slumber.

However, magic aside, if someone were to illegally gain access to your home, while you were there, and they were armed you would prefer to engage them in hand to hand combat over being armed with a gun?

Ahhh, the good old personal experience.

So, because you have never needed a firearm, known anyone that had "a working firearm" you know what happens when you live around people that do own firearms.

Funny thing....my neighbors are armed and I feel safer having that then neighbors not being armed.

Seems that you live in a world of just criminals, with no trust in your neighbors.

My world, where I live, I trust my neighbors. Having them armed, and not needing to control their actions or what they should or shouldn't own sounds about 1 million times better then yours.

So recap. You live in a criminal infested city/town. Criminals are the only ones with working firearms.

I live in a really nice, low crime area. Neighbors and fellow citizens are armed.

Hmmm. I wonder which is better to live in. And, I wonder which is more likely to have criminal actions happen to the people residing within.....oh yeah, I know that answer. The city/town where the law aiding people have firearms.

Personally, I am not going to deter anyone. If you are in my home, I shoot you. Plain and simple.

I do love the internet ninjas that have all sorts of non-firearm weapons, that truly believe they are safe.

I guess when their world suffers the fool, you and I will live another day.

Or even better you have walked/looked towards me menacingly I will shoot to kill.

I have never owned a gun in fact I can walk around without living in fear, I have argued with neighbors/strangers..yet no fear of being killed..in fact I somehow survived..crazy world I live in, a world without thinking the world is a bad place with people out to get me..
