I saw an interview once with Matt Stone and Trey Parker where they said that while Stan and Kyle are supposed to be modeled after themselves, Cartman represents them in reality. Clearly they were joking there (since Cartman has some incredibly racist ideology), but your post there made me think of that interview.

The South Park game "Stick of Truth" is pretty darned funny in parts as well..
And the general feeling of being in South Park hanging out with the other characters is great-you play the part of the "new kid" and start hanging out with cartman,kyle,timmeh,butters,wendy etc as you wonder about the town and its nearby areas.

Some of the missions are totally warped-stans parents sex scene/alien fetus fights..I could go on,but may break the T+C.
