I can't believe that you are using a blog like the Daily Kos as a source. That's just scrounging the bottom of the barrel.

Kos isn't garbage... It's biased but your not gonna find completely fake stories on there.

Or they point at one example of obvious criminal fraud by a welfare queen and pretend everyone on welfare is just like her.

This subject pisses me off. Am I in favor of people ripping off the system? No. But THE Biggest Welfare Queens committing criminal fraud are the Politicians, each and every gd one of them!

They're going to get up on a podium and rip on joe 6 pack who lost his job (due to the politicians) after 25 years and then call him an unemployed loser and cut him off after a year of collecting $900/mo

Or get on a podium and talk about single mothers needing to send their kids to daycare and get a job or cut them off from getting $400/mo?

Vs. 500+ politicians each drawing $16.5 THOUSAND/mo that is TAKEN from joe blow up there and the single mother when she was working, and the rest of us? PLUS full benefits for the rest of their lives for them and their spouse, PLUS security details, PLUS whatever deals they made with lobby'ists...

I'd much rather have my tax dollars go to fellow citizens who fall on hard times then going to the F$%#@s that are selling all of us out democrat and republican.

I think if by some miracle these 47 do get impeached at the very least, that their seats should be filled with the same party temporarily, because as someone else stated, I sure as hell don't want this used as a ploy to try and pass any restrictive gun laws.

Anyone shown a source backed definition of treason that supports prosecution yet?

Cause every definition I've seen doesn't support a treason charge...

A petition seeking treason charges against the Senators that signed the letter to Iran has exceeded the 100,000 signatures required to elicit a response from the WH.

No problem with that, if there's an amended petition seeking action against Obama for contacting the leaders in Iraq requesting they delay actions until after Bush left office.

I think you can relax. Nothing is going to be done. This admin knows very well that if they go that route, then a Pandoras box will have been opened by others to use against them as well.

This is a non-issue, but I'm having fun debating it and pushing proggies buttons!

Senators’ Iran letter was meant to be lighthearted, aides say

Does it matter? The damage is done.

Source

Not only was a White House petition startedurging charges be filed “against the 47 U.S. senators in violation of The Logan Act in attempting to undermine a nuclear agreement,” but by Tuesday night, it had hit the 100,000 signature threshold required for an official response from the White House.

I wonder if there will be an official response to this. What do you guys think, treason or not?

Heck, I don't know if it's treason or not, however, it's seems a lot better to make an attempt to remedy the situation before the alternative which would probably be war.

Most of those who want treason charges can't or don't understand what treason is! Before you sign, read the definition first!

So, call it Treason all you want. Sign whatever petition you want, it changes nothing. These are not mere "citizens" these were Elected Officials of the United States Government, who are part of the process of approving Treaties. Speaking FOR the people that voted for them. Simply because you don't like it is irrelevant.

Hate to tell you this but yes they are just mere citizens even though they are in the Senate. This is not an American treaty this is a UN treaty Congress has nothing to do with it. They had no right sending any kind of letter to Iran much less a letter in an attempt to disrupt the negotiations. So they will just have to report to their boss in Israel that they showed just how stupid they really are and that they violated the Logan act along the way.

Sending trillions of dollars taken from each American's paycheck to foreign countries- TREASON

Indebting our children and grandchildren to pay taxes to benefit foreign countries- TREASON

And to scooby-do (sorry forgot your username but remembered your pic
) I hope they do do it, and it does blowback and have a domino effect and the whole lot of them are thrown in jail, maybe they'll sell out the lobby'ists and bankers along the way to try and save their corrupt asses and take them down with them.

Germany lashes US Republicans over Iran letter

Washington (AFP) - Germany's foreign minister hit out at US Republican senators Thursday for sending a letter to Iran over the nuclear talks, fearing it could undermine Tehran's confidence in the negotiations at a critical juncture.

Got it lots of hyperbole, little fact...

Was it dumb.. Yes

Was it treason... No.. For God's sake people look it up.

If your mad now, but think it was ok when Obama danced around a logan act violation... Or Pelosi, or Kerry... Then you might be a partisan wing nut and you are part of the problem in America today.

If you think that individual rogue senators doing dumb things is comparable to an entire group of rogue senators (47 to be exact) tossing a monkey wrench into international ongoing negotiations involving five other countries...

... you might be a partisan wing nut and you are part of the problem in America today.

Edit: Oh, pardon me. I guess that should be six other countries since Iran is also a part of the ongoing negotiations.

And to be truthful, I think that he speaks from his heart, which yes, can be damaging. I like the guy. He speaks to what riles him. I wish we had more congress critters like him.
