That home marks those christians for eventual torture, rape and execution, much as the Jews were marked in Nazi Germany.

You really don't want to evoke the Nazi party into this argument on the persecution of Christians. Just saying.

Mein Kampf is an enlightening read as well.

LOL I'm laughing. That's a compliment. Thanks!

Just wish some people would understand! People have been persecuted and killed throughout history for their religions and races and whatnot. Christians are no different.

Do you not understand that those individuals who are tortured and killed, are with God now, and at greater peace than they ever would have been here on Earth? That is the central feature of our belief in the first place! Of course I find it maddening that people are killed for their beliefs, that ANY people are killed for their beliefs! I think that it is entirely wrong on every level!

However:

A) Letting myself take up intolerance, hatred, anger WRATH on their behalf, and turn on a whole group of people, along racial or religious lines, or over gender and sexuality issues, is not going to save those people.

B) Doing so lends power to Satan, and allows for the whole sorry cycle to begin again.

There is much wrath inside of a human being, and I am not an exception to that. It would be easy to give in to it, easy to bathe myself in the blood of thousands of gutted, flayed corpses, to fill the streets with carnage and never stop until the blood letting is so severe that the very atmosphere is saturated with vaporised gore. There are many reasons to feel anger, to feel abused, sickened by the things that happen on this planet, and wish to militate against them with strength of arms, and a hardening of the heart.

But these feelings are not of God, and they have no place in a behaviour model adopted by a Christian person. Will I defend myself and my family if it comes to it? Yes. Will I defend my neighbourhood from whatever threatens it? Yes!

Will I hate and distrust people based on their sexuality, their religious beliefs, their political leanings? No. Will I treat my fellow human beings differently, deny them love, because I disagree with them? No. Will I hold others in contempt based on generalisations and xenophobic ignorance? No!

You may do as you please, and feel as you will. But please, do not do so for one second under the false impression that letting yourself be overcome with loathing and anger toward your fellow man is a trait which is admirable. These things are not of a sort which brings one closer to Jesus.

Hitler was an occultist. That is easily documented. He claimed to be a catholic as a justification for his persecution of Jews.

But the ignorance with regards to the widespread persecution of christians is appalling. But then again you are spoon fed by a satanic God hating media so it's hardly surprising. This is a typical situation, and this happened in America. It's far worse of course in the rest of the world.

www.wnd.com...

America is probably the only country left where you could go on to a street corner and read certain passages of scripture and not immediately be arrested. Arrest is quite common in Canada and the UK and the rest of Europe. Germany still has a law created by Hitler that prohibits Christian homeschooling.

You poor souls are so ignorant. You persecute the very religion that made your culture blessed. That blessing is gone and your culture will soon be gone as well.

Ok can you provide evidence for that please?

What I find weird is that you think that I don't care about you and your beliefs and your suffering.

I will always and forever support your right to your belief. I do not want to see any Christian persecuted and suffer. I am a loss as to try to understand why you would think I'd not care about you and any other Christian.

If I will suffer in hell for all eternity because I don't believe and yet I supported your right to be a Christian then so be it (and heaven forbid!!!!! Trying to defend you!)

Yes. Justification. His actions sprung from belief. Many of them justified religiously. Easily documented? Yes that's in support of what I am saying, not yours. The Mein Kampf is quite the historical document, and it is rife with convictions based on theology. Proof is in the pudding.

But then again you are spoon fed by a satanic God hating media

I am spoon fed by no god. Certainly not the MSM which I never watch or read.

Unlike you I am "spoon fed" from many many sources and not one set of doctrine.

You persecute the very religion that made your culture blessed.

I am against all religion.

Also evidence shows the more secular societies are doing great.

That was amusing. Also the idea Christianity is a 'minority group'. Oh my.

There have been some very funny posts today on ATS.

the numbers say Christianity is the world's largest religion but we're still a minority of the overall population.
We are the major religion, and close to majority population, in the Americas and much of Europe, but very much a minority in Asia and the Middle East.
I don't know who said 'churches on every corner' but in some countries it's practically illegal to attend a Christian service (China, Saudi Arabia).
Christians are being persecuted through much of the world, and at the very least we are being mocked and hounded by much of the popular culture in the west.
(I looked up the word 'culture'; it says 'growth medium for bacteria'.)
Just this board illustrates some of the hatred towards, and ignorance of, Christ and Christianity.
(as my buddy Beetle once said, it's not going to get any better...)

And...In many countries it's illegal to be gay, and gays are being persecuted and their rights stripped. They're being beaten, imprisoned and killed, all for who they love.

Women in may countries are being persecuted for wanting to be educated, walk the streets without an escort, drive, vote, hold a conversation or even make eye contact with a man!

What was that about it being illegal to be Christian in China?

Sorry, it took me a moment to stop laughing and vomiting simultaneously ...

Please provide your "easy documentation" that proves that Adolf Hitler was not a Christian.

Please document your assertion that there is a "widespread persecution" of Christians for their beliefs rather than their physical location in the world.

Do I detect that you do not hold Roman Catholics in regard as "true" Christians?

You are a bit, imprecise, in your references ... do you consider shows like the 700 Club and/or Fox News Channel part of the "Satanic God Hating Media"?

Forbidden to read scripture in Canada? The UK? The rest of Europe?

Canada's office of Religious Freedom

In Canada’s view, freedom of religion or belief, including the ability to worship in peace and security, is a universal human right.

Etc.

I'm not sure "we" are the ignorant ones.

However, are you asserting that you speak for God and decide who is worthy of His Grace and Blessing???

You take a lot on yourself friend; I wouldn't go that far, and I'm an avowed atheist.

Keep on cherry picking to try and demonize an entire group of people. Adolf Hitler was not a Christian he hated Christianity but never left the church for political reason. How come he wore a Hindu symbol and not a cross? He was such a Christian warrior why didn't he have any Christian symbolism? Keep on a demonizing people and generalizing putting people in a box to fill your own rhetoric. We get it you hate religion and anyone associated with it is stupid and uneducated.

Doesn't it suck when you totally lose credibility, and by extension reduce the credibility of those who share your position?

More importantly, the CHURCH never left Hitler. Regardless of whether or not you believe Hitler was sincere in his faith in Jesus Christ, he was embraced by Christians and the Catholic Church. He was never censored, admonished or excommunicated by the Roman Catholic Church. So, for all intents and purposes, Hitler was a Christian in "good standing" with his church and its leaders.

Considering Italy was under control of a dictator with the same ambitions as Adolf do you find this surprising? Maybe hitler should have said he was a full blown atheist when the majority of the people against and for him were deeply religious? That would have been genious way to gather support

A hallmark of the Progressive worldview: bigotry is a-okay, as long as you start by calling the other guy a bigot.

Hitler wasn't an atheist, he was Christian. But, even IF he was, why would he invoke atheism when Christianity worked so well as the perfect vehicle to discharge hate and bigotry?

"Goebbels wrote in 1941 that Hitler "hates Christianity, because it has crippled all that is noble in humanity."[7] Many historians have come to the conclusion that Hitler's long-term aim was the eradication of Christianity in Germany"

Yes, I agree that Christianity can be used as a tool to gather support when the support you need is Christian.

I'm mean Stalin used atheism to kill lots of people. That guy was really really good at it too.

They go against the very thing Christ taught. It is sad to me to see the misrepresentation.
