Because Islam is antithetical to American core values and western ideology. Lol do you not understand that? Only an idiot brainwashed populace would vote a leader into office that leads against their own best interests.

Islam is a religion. We have freedom of religion here. You don't get to tell me what is and isn't antithetical to American core values. YOU don't get to tell people what they are allowed to worship. So YOU are actually advocating going against our Constitution here. If you don't like Muslims or the religion, too bad, deal with it. They are allowed to be here and worship whatever they want. And as long as they are non-violent, they have every right to petition the government over their grievances. If their proposed solutions go against the Constitution, well we have checks and balances to stamp that crap out. It's the same approach done to keep the Christian crazies always trying to bring about a theocracy in check.

Didn't America invade and attack countries in the Middle East too? The amount of civilians killed in the Middle East since we invaded has a direct result of our invasion. If it weren't for us destabilizing the region ISIS would have never formed in my opinion.

America is just as much to blame as anyone, we're the ones who started it.

And this is Obama's fault? Yeah... I guess 9/11 was his fault, too... And the Holocaust, too!

and our president thinks is all peachy and good and we should all fight back with kindness.

That's just not true.

And your attitude is exactly why we have a loser like Him running this country into the ground. YES things are that bad. America isn't even recognizable as a country anymore. Our government talking about and drafting laws regulating our meat consumption, how much tv we watch, whether we are forced to vaccinate our children and the laundry list of intrusions into personal liberty continue. Not to mention our disastrous foreign policy and economic policies. If you don't think things are bad in America you're out of touch!

Most of the stuff you are whining about started before Obama became President. The he is running this country into the ground is a laugh. The deficit is dropping like a rock Wall Street is doing better than ever and jobs are coming back. If this is running this country into the ground then we could use more of it.

You're on the list now for sure....

Take a deep breath Francis.

The time for deep breaths are over! That's the problem! Americans should be so outraged there should be mass protests the tune of millions! Our country is being dismantled, corrupted, our history revised and re-written, our national wealth plundered and pillaged. But yeah let's take a breath!

But Americans can't protest. Don't you know they can't get up off the couch because they might miss the next episode of the Kardashians or Real Housewives. They'll remain politically correct and ambivalent, letting the current-man-in charge obfuscate the facts and give his own version of the history of this once great republic. Americans won't get it until the'ye arrested or worse when they're not adhering to Sharia law.

There has been Islam in America since before the revolutionary war and people like Salem Poor and Peter Salem who were Muslims and seen as heroes during that war. So your hit piece about Obama being wrong on how Islam is not in American history is nothing but BS.

I'll dignify your absurd statement .......... The 18 lawgivers depicted on the Supreme Court building have nothing to do with any type of Islamic influence into our laws and values. Jefferson owned a Koran and a few Muslims fought in the war? So what? We have Muslims living in this country so we should enact Sharia Law and scrap the Bill of Rights? Multiculturalusm is destroying us! It means nothing to be American anymore.

I will say no more my friend.

You're joking right? Obama isn't saying that all is peachy and well in the Middle East. He is TRYING to dismantle the infection of Islamophobia that has gripped the country within the last 14 years by trying to move away from the buzzwords and phrases that are being used to make sweeping generalizations about Muslims. Phrases like "Muslim terrorist". Just call them terrorists. You don't need to attach their religion to it. We will still know they are extremist crazies.

He clearly does not want a strong, healthy America.

Sure he doesn't want a strong healthy America that is why he did his best to keep America from going into another depression that the Republicans was pushing America into.

Islam is not a religion, my friend, Islam is the set of laws from which the Muslim base their religion from.

Islam will never go along with the US constitution, because our constitution makes clear that it will be not other laws in the US those of our constitution.

That is why Islam is been very slow in thriving here, but they are fighting make note of that.

If I was lucky enough to be born in the US to Islamic parents, I would convert without fear of being put to death like in Muslim countries.

Sorry when we have a group of people demanding a separate set of laws than those the rest of us follow and agreed upon to live by I have a problem with it. You are downplaying and white washing a very serious issue in our country. This isn't about freedom of religion this is about the insidious hostile take over of our belief system, laws and culture. We should put footbaths in every airport because that is the Islamic way of life? Every workplace should allow every Muslim employee to pray 12 times a day? Don't you see where this is heading? Push 3 for Arabic? You are sad really!

Talk about an absurd statement. Muliticulturism is what made America great that is what led us into being one of the most powerful nations in the history of the planet. Simply because we took the best of everything from the people who came into our nation and made it ours. You simply have been brainwashed to not see the real facts because you want to blame everything on a make believe Muslim President.

So what? The Christians have been trying to introduce a theocracy for decades. The closest they've ever been was in the 50's thanks to the Red Scare, but even then we never dived into full blown theocracy mode. So if the majority religion in the country can't pull it off, what makes you think the piddling population of Muslims would be able to pull it off?

Obama didn't start the invasions of countries halfway across the world, Bush did. Why aren't we blaming Bush for anything?

Blaming Obama is like blaming a manager of a McDonald's for having unhealthy food. Obama isn't the leader of this country, even he takes his orders from people higher than himself. He's just a patsie those in power use to put all the blame on. People are buying it hook, line, and sinker.

What nonsensical drivel. "Islamic groups are getting bolder?" What does that even mean? I can only assume you're referring to ISIS? ISIS didn't spring into existence because they were emboldened by the US President. This is the sort of sentiment that exemplifies an unfortunately all to common prevailing ignorance of foreign affairs in our country.

The origins of ISIS/ISIL/IS/etc lie with the merger of AQI and several smaller Sunni groups in Iraq in 2006. They preferentially recruited from among Ba'ath Party officers, formerly of the Hussein regime. In that sense, a much more accurate statement would be that the failed foreign policy of the GWB administration is the largest single factor in creating an environment conducive to the formation of ISIS.
