It is all cultural, race plays no role at all.

Blacks whites Latinos..etc... Raised in an Asian community will most likely do better.

Asians as a whole have one of the most successful cultures in history, followed closely by the Europeans.

The only culture of the modern world close to as bad as the culture embodied by most blacks is the middle east.

Africa inner city black culture....absolute failures of the highest order, by far the worst culture in the modern world.

But their failings are everyone else's fault.....BS.

Look up affirmative action. It supports white females more than anything. And it's nave to believe employers don't see color when every one else dies. Have you not heard about the Mexican last name change issue on the resume?

Overly qualified guy with a Hispanic last name applies fire a serious of jobs. Zero call backs. Changes his name to a white sounding name and viola. It fit pretty good coverage, but selective hearing goes hand in hand with ignorance.

I did so because in my opinion, your motivation for doing so was to stir up racial tension and not an honest debate over the validity of white privilege. Furthermore, my assertions had more to do with the content of the statements that followed than the posting of the definition.

I don't know if you're a racist or not. I was accusing you of using identity politics to popularize your propaganda. Perhaps you'd like to substantiate your argument in a way that doesn't involve suppressed correlatives?

This wasn't a thread to discuss the existence of "white privilege."

Propaganda is crafted to control the frame of the discussion, e.g., "Does white privilege exist or not?"

The real discussion should be about, "Who is defining this term? What is their motive?"

By definition, the entire concept of "white privilege" is unprovable. The theory defines those who question the theory as racists.

White Privilege is a excuse made up by others to lazy to get off their butts and make change in their life.

Everyone in the U.S. has the same opportunity, sure its harder for some, but if a person, regardless of color,

Yes that is what I am saying. And I believe it. I understand why it is shocking and could upset people. I pointed out that I am only half white. Half of me gets emotional and then upset about the influence of whites in every culture but then the other half me believes there is no place in the world for emotions and anger, only systems and governance. That is what white people have and all other ethnicities need. The ability to turn off emotion for the sake of a system of governance. And that pisses me off too.

Nothing of that nature is any proof of anything though, Americans operate today on this false paradigm of finding the example that is opposite the norm in order to prove a point, but that isn't science or reality it's more akin to the methodology of holding up babies that experience tragedies to create a police state.

I don't doubt at all that those moments happen, don't get me wrong.

Sorry, but the TV is loaded with African Americans that are "nerds" since Erkel... but that doesn't change the predominant culture in the community of aggressive male behavior and what people see in real life most often is what they will make assumptions of when dealing with people and that sucks but it only changes as the culture changes no debate or talk will stop it or even laws. As more and more African Americans escape their own stereo types is how half of African Americans have made the burbs and perception is changing and that's a good thing, but blaming "the man" in this day and age is straight ghetto and that's why so few white people will listen to it. If you go to school and do good or just work at it...sure on interviews you might not be first choice but no one goes on one interview and you will get ahead sooner or later. That's called looking for a job, the one everyone deals with is "no experience" and everyone goes through a lot of places and gets denied. What the resentment is, is the resentment for people who have an IN, the people who walk through schools with B's like G W Bush and get to be President for doing nothing... Guess what? That pisses me off too! But it's the way life is, always has been and always will be, finding a specific reason you don't have that YET and focusing on it to the point of assumed failure and giving up is just being a punk. Everyone not born rich has to bust it to prove themselves, everyone.

One the one hand the white race did bring self governance to the main stream world wide stage.

One the other though, I don't think whites should decide for all.

I agree, white controlled nations have it figured out better than many others.

But we aren't the be all end all.

Others just need to step up their game.

Asians are doing very well....whites as well....

Others are holding the world back at present, but one can't expect instant change the world over.

In fact I think africa may be on the verge of a big breakout.

Exactly, there are certain cultures that tend to do well no matter where they transplant themselves - Jews, Asians, Germans. They tend to form thriving sub communities no matter where they go so long as the dominate culture doesn't get upset at them and drive them out after taking what they have accrued.

Another case in point would be Congo. If "white privilege" was the root of all evil, it should be a thriving example to the rest of the continent now that they've basically confiscated whatever they could from the white landowners and given over the former victims of those landowners' white privilege. Instead, the former breadbasket of Africa is not a basket case because no one has any property rights and the new landowners have no idea how to properly manage what they've been handed.

White privilege is obviously to blame for all the African leaders stealing money from their own people. The continent's always suffering from civil wars and genocides. Where do people draw a line when it comes to the blaming? Black people advance too in America. Nobody goes to college and sees black students? No one has black coworkers? Last I heard black people get paid as much as white people in America.

While I know there is an issue in regards to the nation as a whole being too aggressively policed. When you add up the numbers of calls and stops vs incidents the police do a really good job

Over the span of more than a decade, 2,151 whites died by being shot by police compared to 1,130 blacks. Now, yes, Blacks are still by percentage of population more likely than whites to be shot... and there is "something there"

But a Billion plus police calls were made in that time frame TWO BILLION PLUS. That means the REALITY is that something like well less than .01% of Police calls/stops end in tragedy... which means the cops overall are pretty damn good at avoiding this happening no matter who you are... In fact more African Americans slipped and hit their head in the bathtub and died in that time frame than were killed by cops...

Meanwhile... In the same time span Black Males were shot by other Black males in numbers that exceed the casualty list of the Vietnam war through a similar time frame...

Nothing makes the bad eggs out there good eggs and surely there are bad cops, but overall the numbers indicate that the Cops have in the end likely saved a hell of a lot more Black male lives than taken them.
