So you can't find any proof that Jesus wasn't actually a Jew?

& you choose to obfuscate instead of righting your wrongs.

If you claim that Jesus wasn't a Jew, which he clearly & admittedly was when he said he came to fulfil the laws of the Prophets...
Maybe you're not right about anything in this thread & refuse to see it.

www.fishingtheabyss.com...

From the Biblical record, we have note of 7 different groups/types of people who refer to Jesus as “Rabbi” or “Teacher” (the rough translation): His disciples (Mark 9:5, Mark 11:21 etc.); Pharisees (John 3:1-2); John the Baptist’s disciples (John 1:35-38); Common people (Mark 10:51, John 6:24-25); Torah teachers (Matthew 8:19); Herodians (Luke 3:12); and the Sadducees (Matthew 22:23-32). Additionally, he refers to himself by this title (John 13:12-14, Luke 22:10-11).
The title ‘Rabbi’, in first-century contemporary literature, could refer both to Torah teachers (”Teachers of the Law”) and sages/rabbis with s’mikah (authority). Jesus, who was clearly recognized by this title, would have fallen into one of these two categories, though clearly – from scripture – it was the latter.

Jesus was a jew, as far as being born into the race known as jews.

As far as religion goes he was a christian, born for the sole reason of getting gentiles..that is all peoples that arent jews btw, into heaven.

He came to save all others but jews, as the jews are gods chosen(dont know why honestly but must be nice) people.

Jesus was born and died so gentiles could also reach heaven.

So no he was not jewish religion wise, but yes he was a part of gods chosen race the jewish people.

Funny you wanted to concentrate on this and not elaborate on you trying to claim all belivers in god have to be muslim( obvious bs) or that jesus was a muslim( also obvious bs as stated very clearly even in muslim historical texts).

Too bad, I am a history buff, even about religion, I like talking about it.

I never dodged anything.

I already explained the definition of the Arabic word Muslim...

It means to submit your will to God.

Because people do not follow the Islamic Faith does not negate that Christians & Jews submit their will to God.

It might be an unpopular thing to say, but a definition is a definition.

If you ever drink at all you a bs muslim...

Judge much?

Islam states this as one of its pillars, how am I judging?

It is a fact.

No muslim is aloud to to drink alcohol ever, for any reason.

If he drinks and wants to drink he is not a muslim thus is full of bs.

Lots of Muslims who consider themselves very Muslim drink.

That is like calling yourself christian and breaking all tje ten commandmets, minus the forgiveness.

Muslims are banned, point blank, no arguement, no but ifs, no extenuating cases from ever drinking alcohol.

If they drink alcohol they are not muslim by the muslim faiths rules.

If they drink alcohol, they are not muslim, that is a fact.

Wow. You really need to stop. You are coming across as knowing a great deal about a very complicated topic, and religion, while clearly you live in your own box.

Whether he does or doesn't, or anybody does or doesn't is none of your business. Let it go. I will do my part in helping you let go, by no longer replying to you.

Cause it is true.

These are some sick and sadistic people and they look for a reason to justify thier actions and using the name of god is a great one.

There is billions of people that follow this religion that don't do things like this, but guess that doesn't matter if a small percentage wants to act like barbarians.

My question is how a book/religion that claims peace is SO misinterpreted as to allow violence on this level. Everyone says there is nothing violent in it, but I fail to see how a book with no violence in it can be interpreted as such.

I mean, I read children's books everyday with my kids, and while nowhere near the same type of literature, I could not for the life of me come up with a way to make "The Pout Pout Fish" a violent book nor teach any sort of violence from it....it just isn't there. So how is a book about peace from a religion about peace being SO misconstrued as to allow this type of interpretation. Surely there is SOMETHING in this religious book that is able to be interpreted in a very violent manner.

Jesus forbade violence

We still got 10 odd crusades, mass executions and torture.

Sociopaths and the mentaly unhinged will interperate anything to suite there own ends.

Im sure they could find something in a episode of teletubbies to spur them to violence.

Id go as far as to say these monsters are just looking for a excuse to commit violence.

Oh I don't know, if you want to find out if the Koran speaks of these atrocities and actions to justify them, READ THE KORAN. It's simple. The old testament is more hateful than the Koran. Derp Derp Derp.

Maybe we should ask our super best friends and bestest of allies Saudi Arabia to stop funding them now.

And why haven't we bombed them (the Saudis), considering all of the other countries that we did find some trumped up reason to bomb????

Cause they are usefull to the USA banks and oil industry.....

O and they have a military that can fight back..,,,

And there are a significant number of Muslims who aren't going around beheading people either. What's your point?

There is a large culture of devout Muslims who aren't hurting anyone. There is a sub-culture of angry, violent, controlling people who want some kind of revenge. It's not the religion that's the problem. It's that sub-culture.

Maybe those large groups of devout muslims who hurt nobody should stand up for their religion by actually doing something against those who are giving the so called religion of peace a bad name but they won't because they would go against their book.

Actually many are!

Most my muslim freinds and former co workers have denouced the latest attacks as well as ISIS

But no one listens to them....

See, that's the problem, it's sub-culture of Islam. Meaning Islam is the root of that culture. I agree there are millions upon millions of peaceful Muslims in the world, but as many have said, there's not enough moderate Muslims standing up and trying to REMOVE this violent sub-culture from their ranks. They're not fighting against them. They're sitting quietly by as people who claim to be in the same faith run about beheading people, razing villages, selling slaves, oppressing women, and generally just being backasswards.

If there was a group of Christian Radicals going around bombing schools, killing atheists and whatnot, you can bet there'd be HOARDS of christians signing up to wipe these people out. Where's the uproar in the muslim community?

But most muslims are just normal people with familys trying to live.

Apart from denouceing what terrorist do what else are they meant to do?

Most the ones I know have never meet a extremist, the one Iknow who had extremist BF reported her BF with support of her family to the police.

Apart from that most have never been to the middle east except a trip to mecca.

They dont have magic muslim powers that make them know every other muslim in the world.

Im a christian but have no connection or idea of that the westbro baptist church will do, all i can do is denounce them online.

No Jesus was never a Christian. The people who followed his teachings were called that to distinguish them from others.

Part of the problem with Africa is its tribalism. You have more than conflicting religions which gets bad enough, but you also have old tribal animosities helping to fuel the fire.

Short elaboration, cos I'm not really here to teach about Islam to be honest...

Basically it says if you're in doubt, but seeing the signs, be truthful to yourself...
If you lie about it, you are destined for the fire... As a disbeliever.

Hopefully that clears things up a bit.

Like I said I'm not gonna try to convince anyone anymore, I promised myself I wouldn't, a long time ago.
