The supreme entity is real, but our interpretation of how we translate things is different. There are many layers of god, we can find him through many means. There is really not much difference between the basics of many religions, but people tend to blow up the differences to make their interpretation as more correct than others so they feel better.

Is this wrong? I cannot judge. I do not really approve of the way the Muslims treat their women but I understand they have a reason for their beliefs. I do not see eye to eye with most religions yet believe the basics are most often correct. Getting obsessed with religion is not necessary, just using the good it contains to guide us is the main thing. Most people are not fanatics about it and others pick and choose the part they want to believe in.

Treat others the way you would want them to treat you does not always work. Some people like to treat others bad and don't mind the game that they play, working with deception is acceptable to them. They write it off as experience when they get screwed and learn to get better at deceiving people. Their life is a game of risk. They would rather con someone than to steal from them. Others think it is normal to steal and that others are just their prey. This is another type of person than the deceiver, but it is related. Stealing is usually illegal unless certain rules are followed, we are taught not to mess with those who run things.

So I am happy that you have found a new path OP. You sound like someone who would be a good member of any religion they join. The actions of Jesus were good, they were not evil, but some have twisted what the bible says to make them appear better. We live in a world where deception runs things. The best deceivers tend to get to the top. If you do not become one of them, you do not get up high in society easily. You are just a common person like the majority.

If you read my signature you will understand how Muslims should treat women...

I think you're mistakenly associating Arabic culture with Islamic culture.

So, I did indeed find God, and I saw HIM. Not in a book, but alive.

So he says my word is in a book but he's there speaking to you…

That's why Jesus said "My words are spirit and life".

The letter kills, but the spirit gives life. A new life.

I don't know if it's real or not but it's probably smarter to believe...you know just in case ...

Something about the kingdom being within? Everyone has been given a soul, a direct conduit, an antenna to heaven as it were. Reading and writing of books is fine, but the key is to discover the living "word" by "tuning" in to the message that comes through our soul. Thats the "personal' relationship, thats where you find the wisdom to know what the people that wrote the scriptures know.

Not from you, but through you.

Sadly, that narrative is mostly missing from organized religion, nowadays. Because the various churches want you to go there to get the "word", instead of teaching you to be dependent on your own inner guidance, they want you dependent on them.

Oh but that is how we know it is real, we met a realness that so real, it could be nothing else.

The ultimate reality, there is something greater than us and that it loves us more than we can comprehend. But when you meet that, you know.

Exactly! It's contradictory to believe that "Christ" is outside, knock, knock, knocking, and that you must "Let him in". "The Kingdom of God is within!" You can't find it in a man. It's not in a book or in anything that is not already embedded within.

That's how you know it is real for you, and others who have such experiences of other faiths. OB's experience isn't unique to Xtianity.

The ultimate reality, there is something greater than us and that it loves us more than we can comprehend. But when you meet that, you know.

A statement that could be made by a Muslim, a wiccan, a Hindu, and so on.

In your case, and OB's case, you both understood it to be a Xtian experience. For others, it isn't. I say good for all of you who have had such a spiritual experience. You're all right at a personal level.

The words are an example. Everyone has the power to become sons of God.

Everyone_has_it.

I believe the first statement was made by a former Muslim now Christian, so obviously it was real enough to cause the change.

And not all of us have come this way through fundamentalism, sometimes some of us have come through atheism and agnosticism.

As far as I'm concerned God is God no matter what you call it. I don't think this power has sex organs so "It" is what I'm left with for a pronoun.
That does not diminish this entity for it puts it into its claimed position of omnipotence.
Every soul on this planet is part of this entity with its powers of creation, love and immortality. In death we recombine with this omnipotent energy where any part of our contribution can at any time be used in the creation of new matter making us immortal.
All worship is absorbed by this entity as loving emotions have greater energy within than negative ones and this has been measured.
Every one of us is connected to all and everything in that at the base of it all we are only energy that is holding the shape of people and things and that at that level there really are no boundaries.
Science and religion are closing the gap. We as people want to know our purpose and we want to understand the mechanics of creation. Quantum physics is revealing more mysterious actions every day and it points to an intelligent director in these actions.
So no matter if you call it Jehovah or Allah, or Kooblikhan your devotion is appreciated and you will be blessed for it. .
Create your life as if you were God...because it is in you and you in it. The creation process is within you. Ask, believe, be grateful, receive.
HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL.

Acts 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

I believe you. And you have been an inspiration to me as of late, thank you for sharing your testimony.

I have struggled with doubt at times, and have prayed for an intervention like yours.

Maybe yours was shared for others, such as myself, that struggles at times.

All I know is that my faith has increased through your testimony.

Thank You, God Bless

I guess you are right, I was actually unaware of this difference. I guess I was listening to others talk about this without actually examining things myself. I am trying to get out of that state of mind but it is hard to comprehend that so much of the conditioning exists in our society that we need to question everything.

Boy, being a real conspiracy theorist is a major challenge.

Agreed on both counts. But many Xtians have this tendency to believe they're right, and everyone else be damned. That's what I was addressing. I'm all for spirituality, but not to the exclusion of other peoples spiritual experiences, because they don't line up with Xtian doctrine or beliefs.
