I have seen him on a few Youtube clips.

Seems to be one of the few people in European politics with common sense. At least from what I have seen in a few speeches on youtube.

I really enjoy when he blasts unelected officials and politicians voting "off the record" so the public doesn't know what they are doing.

I like this one with this Mark Pritchard guy, hey Mark, if the immigrants are going there to work, how will tightening Welfare benefits act as a brake to either come or not come to the UK.

He seems to be the Ron Paul of the EU?

TechUnique, the video is pretty lousy, containing only a header, and some blurry images of a web page. However, if it is indeed the case that Mr Farage's own heritage involves immigrant roots, then it only serves to prove the illegitimacy of his approach to politics, and specifically to immigration.

To be absolutely frank, I am sick of all of the political class. None of them have lived real life, done proper work, rather than pushing paper in a suit at a desk, and until the political stage starts presenting the public with a working class alternative to the many flavours of entitled, rich buffoons, then I see little to recommend any party to the voting public.

Frankly I think we ought to round the bastards up, posh clobber and all, shoot them, and start again, but there again, there are some fantastic reasons why I have never been in charge, and should probably never be left in charge of anything more pressing than my own immediate survival!

My point however, is that Farage is no better than Cameron, and Cameron is the most unmitigated filth, so that puts Farage and indeed the whole UKIP party in a pretty crappy situation, even if you ignore the hypocrisy of this revelation!

I think his wife is german too, but that's just another case of politicians with their do as I say not as I do attitude. As true Brit said, he's no definerent from the rest. His man of the people image only works on the pub bore type and it seems everyone who comments on a daily mail article. I'm sick of the site of the man same goes cameron and millipede

Liked the mujsic for your video BUT, this has got to be the weakest political effort I have ever seen by someone to try to throw a bit of muck about a good politician.

You missed Farage speaking out for the british people in the eu parliament and its a great pity. He is a formidable politician and I suspect his happy guy haaving a pint is merely a foil to disguise the atack he has for getting at the people at the top and bringing them into the ridiculous spotlight they should be under.

I cannot believe you are bringing to the table a discussion point about a man who came in the 1800's as a cabinet maker?
Are you for real - do you hate him that much - I am sure he would buy you a pint and you would have a laugh with him.

I'm voting for him and his party and I also welcome an adversary of his "The Trews" as also a guy who exposes some of the things that are very wrong in this country. Farage is a good politician and many fear facing him. Heaven knows we need a complete change from this sick two party with the same face excuse for opposition politics - that tony blair exposed brilliantly - its time for a change and we need more parties.

Up UKIP may they prosper. I do doubt that their immigration policy will remove from the UK people who are working and well integrated into this country. But he is right in that we are a very small island and there are plenty of countries with huge land masses that people can settle in. Its not that we don't want people to come here its that we simply don'[t have the infrastructure for them to simply arrive with family in toe and expect to be settled down with a house, job, schools, doctors, dentists hospitals etc etc. Its when you look at the infrastructure that needs to be expanded and the british government's idea of running britain on a shoe string of its taxe revenues, that you should get the idea that too many is too much.

I like him.
Ever watched his EU debates? he doesn't lie down like Cam did with the eu budget deal.
I see him as a protest vote against the status quo .

A little bit of history first, in 1939 UK imported 30 million tons of foodstuffs, with a population of roughly 30 million,. now we have a population of over 60 million, no idea what the food import is, but I'll wager its more than 30 million tons, so, what happens when we can no longer afford to pay for that huge tonnage? who is going to starve first? British born? dole claimants?
Immigrants? the really poor? the sick? there are just too many people on this island, of whatever colour/creed/race/religion.

As I understand him he is not against immigration 'per se' but is

for CONTROLLED' immigration, which is what I fully agree with.

It wont be In my time, and possibly not in any one else on here's

time but ..... if immigration continues at the present rate or even

as seems escalates till we are out numbered then it wont be that

long before immigrants will be the 'New British' and we will be

relegated to 'indigenous natives'.

The economy as is, cannot sustain mass immigration.

Russel Brand hit the nail on the head recently on Question Time when was saying we need to keep an eye on Farage as hes nothing but a pound shop Enoch Powell.

For anyone who doesnt know who Enoch Powell was, he was a UK politician and a fascist scumbag that had grown popular in Britain because unbelievably stupid people all agreed that immigrants were bad.

Enoch Powell

I suspect when the tories cut a coalition deal with UKIP there will be a national disaster of sorts and we will start seeing giant statues of Farage everywhere with storm troopers goose stepping down our high streets.

And believe it or not immigration is not a new thing.

Fascists always have a populist edge and a 'way with the common people'.

It's all smoke and mirrors. Farage is just another Fascist trying to ride the immigration-panic wave.

Yeah he was a city banker in London for most of his life, sounds like a really great guy to me, infact im pretty sure the bank he worked for was liquidated during criminal fraud investigations. Basicaly he works for the exact same people who STOLE ALL OUR MONEY but because he is against immigration HES FOR THE COMMON MAN.

God people are stupid.

First, Farage has no control over HIStory.

Second, perhaps he is no better than every single one of the elitist having a chair in Brussels, but he certainly seems to be speaking more for the common man than the wealthy that control the fate of the common man in the EU which is socialism without representation for the most part.

For the common man?, you think so do you?

Nigel Farage is a phoney. Scrutinise him and he'll crumble

He says he represents "ordinary people". But he is a public school-educated former banker, whose policies will help him and his kind. He claims he is the voice of "common sense", while allying with every variety of gay-hater, conspiracy crackpot, racist, chauvinist and pillock. The only sense he and his followers have in common is a fear of anyone who is not like them.

Please do not be takin in by this person.

Well I'd rather have someone running the economy who had a decent

education and experience of commerce and business etc, than

someone un familiar with the basic's ..... i.e. you cant put a quart

into a pint pot and that you can't take out more than you put in .....

pretty basic!

There's an industry in discrediting Farage with claims that he is this, that and the other. Even on this thread he's being likened to a fascist. It's all rather sad.

I am no UKIP supporter, but Farage's politics resonate with many people, and are not unreasonable, particularly the unrestrained immigration that many see is damaging the UK. Personally, I'm not fussed about EU immigration, but certainly think the 150,000 (plus) per year inflow of non EU immigrants too much - Nigeria, Somalia, Pakistan, Sudan, Afghanistan...

Only today on the news there was someone bemoaning the fact that the UK needs to take in thousands of Syrian refugees. Why? The last thing this country needs are thousands of people who have no cultural understanding of Britain and will suck the welfare, health and schooling system dry. Madness.

Regards

This was at a different time in a different political and social environment.

Just another pathetic attempt at a smear. As someone whose voted UKIP it means nothing to me.

Ahhh another raci- I mean "nationalist" *wink* *wink*

Do you even know what UKIP policies are?, what demographics makes up the vast majority of UKIP supporters?? [apart from the influx of ex-BNP members of course]

To think that in todays world with the access to information we now have freely available to us people are still blindly falling for the same tired rhetoric that has been used over and over again throughout history to garner support for a cause like UKIP is totaly beyond me.

The NHS, welfare and education system is failing not because of government mismanagement, funding cuts or privatization, no but because of immigrants. Yeah they are to blame lol.

Farage works for the City of London, not us or the "common man" as people like to say.
