Another thing I would say is to look at the object of the Gita and similar modes of worship. They seek to allow the believer room to see God's love with no attachment to the worry that accompanies the deceiver and adversary. The goals of holiness are the same, yet the path is detachment from the doubt of faith. With true faith such as this, the story of how God overcomes are not details the faithful would worry over. They have no desire to participate in that suffering, judgement or doubt in fear. Ultimately, the Bible creates an underlying fear that evil has a hold over God's will. With the Gita, the believer is shown the path to overcome this fear with faith. Like I said, it is a path to overcome our own self.

Ultimately, the Bible is a picture of the self in a mirror. You can't know this unless you study it.

Again, do you know me over the years here? Would I succumb to a false ideology? Better stated, would God allow me to wander from his love? I am not overcome with sin, although I am a sinner seeking to overcome. I have joy and love wisdom and knowledge. My spirit sees truth when it is visible to me. I also see error. I trust God with my faith. No fear. God is good. The Son of God will be revealed to us and all eyes will see. Again, what fear in the details is there? None. God is either in control or we are all in trouble.

Colossians 1:15-17, Wesley Expositional Commentary:

1:15 Who is - By describing the glory of Christ, and his pre - eminence over the highest angels, the apostle here lays a foundation for the reproof of all worshippers of angels. The image of the invisible God - Whom none can represent, but his only begotten Son; in his divine nature the invisible image, in his human the visible image, of the Father. The first begotten of every creature - That is, begotten before every creature; subsisting before all worlds, before all time, from all eternity.

1:16 For - This explains the latter part of the preceding verse. Through implies something prior to the particles by and for; so denoting the beginning, the progress, and the end.Him - This word, frequently repeated, signifies his supreme majesty, and excludes every creature. Were created all things that are in heaven - And heaven itself. But the inhabitants are named, because more noble than the house. Invisible - The several species of which are subjoined. Thrones are superior to dominions; principalities, to powers. Perhaps the two latter may express their office with regard to other creatures: the two former may refer to God, who maketh them his chariots, and, as it were, rideth upon their wings.

1:17 And he is before all things - It is not said, he was: he is from everlasting to everlasting. And by him all things consist - The original expression not only implies, that he sustains all things in being, but more directly, All things were and are compacted in him into one system. He is the cement, as well as support, of the universe. And is he less than the supreme God?

Why do you fight instead of casting out demons and healing the sick and teaching the gospel of Jesus the Christ?

I am Israel! My Body is HIS Holy Temple and I am HIS Holy Priest!

What does He call you???????????????????

Be careful trying to be the Priest. You have a direct relationship with the Supreme God as part of the Son of God (Adam). As such, the accuser and adversary has no rule over you unless you give them room. Before our blood was shed by Yahweh, we were already in God's (Elohim and Ruach Elohim) image. Being clothed with knowledge is part of the process to rise to new life, away from the division of the image and back into the image. Before you move into the position of priest, make sure you first allow the Father to develop your faith from complete humility. From there, the path will become obvious.

Different parts of the body have different gifts. Opening blind eyes and ears is also part of the process, which I believe to be my gift. I realize you are coming to faith from the Muslim religion. As you transition, remember that the will of God is give only. Taking makes us a thief. In this, self-righteousness and judgment are both the same as wickedness. The quickest path to the accuser is to judge others. Seek peace and truth only by listening to the Spirit of God, abiding in love for others in all points of your walk with God. Knowing the will of God is the primary means of listening to the Spirit. We become what we love. To Become more like God, we become what he is as our own unique individuation.

Glad to see your faith make the transition to the message of Love and Faith. God Bless.

this would be his third "incarnation" on ATS so to speak... as far as I know

Every time he reappears I know its him almost immediately...

One of the very few people that I have learned a thing or two from here...

And even though I don't agree with everything he says, he is one of my favorite posters... and I consider him a friend here...

And so have you

Or, you could just read the text:

7 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

The Son (Adam) brings all creation to God, so that God can be All in All. You can listen to theologians if you want, but I choose to listen to the Holy Spirit that teaches me. I have learned what truth does to my Spirit and what error does. I can only speak for myself in this. If it causes you to judge, accuse or seek division, then it is not from the Spirit. If it allows room to hate, then it is false. This is why I love the Tao, Gita, Upinashads and Dhammapad. By their clarity, the Bible emerges for what it is. It's the knowledge of BOTH good and evil. You get a dose of each, then are required to divide what is right and overcome. It's message is clear and I have listened.

The Greek word means basically He holds everything together. And that's the latest understanding of Physics, that these particles shouldn't stay together but they do.

Hinduism is actually a manufactured "religion" created in 1830.

Like the quote below says, you don't want what you're placing your ultimate trust in to be wrong.

By trusting what Hinduism says, you are doing EXACTLY that...

Over the last three years, I have visited several libraries, and diligently studied Hindu theology, scriptures, and books. I spent countless hours pouring over thick works through the night, often hidden in obscure corners of dusty shelves in old libraries, covered in spider webs.

In short, I discovered that Hinduism was an English invention that bracketed several distinct, mutually hostile religions into one umbrella. `Hinduism' or `Sanatana Dharma' did not exist before the English, but was created by them in order to reward the Brahmins for loyal services during Anglo-Brahmin rule

Myth of One Hindu Religion Exploded

Nikki: Who is to say that Jesus' way is any better than Muhammad's or Buddha's or the Hindus' ?

Jesus: Do you think, Hinduism is true?

Nikki: I don't know, I've some friends back home who got into Hinduism, and it seemed to work for them.

Jesus: I didn't ask you, if you thought it worked, I asked if you thought, it was true?

Nikki: It was TRUE for THEM.

Jesus: Before Copernicus most people believed, that the world was flat. It was false, but it worked for them. Do you know, why that was?

Nikki: I don't think it mattered much back then. Before Columbus nobody traveled far enough for it to be a problem.

Jesus: What would have happened, if someone tried to go to the Moon?

Nikki: They'd be in for a big surprise.

Jesus: The point is: What people believed worked for them even though it was false but at some critical juncture it was bound to not work anymore.

Nikki: Alright, what you are saying is that: even if a belief system works for someone, if it's false, it will eventually break down.

Jesus: And you don't want what you're placing your ultimate trust in to be wrong. Do you remember that class you took at UC, the one on World Religions?

Nikki: How did you know...?

Jesus: What did that class teach you about Hinduism? How it squares off with what's known about the Universe?

Nikki: If I remember correctly, Hinduism teaches that the Universe is simply an extension of the universal force, called... Brahman.

Nikki: Brahman, yes! The ultimate essence.

Jesus: And God is the Universe, and the Universe is God.

Nikki: Right! And there is no one separate Creator.

Jesus: And how long has the Universe existed?

Nikki: According to the Hindus: always. The Universe is eternal.

Jesus: And how does that match up with what modern astronomers have discovered?

Nikki: Not very well, I guess... I did read an article once, that said, all the evidence points to the Universe having a definite starting point.

Jesus: So, if Hinduism is true, how did this Universe get here?

Nikki: I don't know!

Jesus: I don't know either.

You are judging unprepared.

1 Peter 3

18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God.

He died once.

1 Corinthians 15

42 So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; 43 it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; 44 it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body.

We are all sown into weakness. As I said before, do not judge others. You become their adversary. Instead, make peace. Your testimony earlier today was very good. Teach after you have learned the word from front to back. In this, you are prepared by the Father.

John 6.

65 He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me unless the Father has enabled them.”

John 2

23 Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many people saw the signs he was performing and believed in his name.[d] 24 But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all people. 25 He did not need any testimony about mankind, for he knew what was in each person.

The process to come to the Father is then continued from where I started in 1 Peter 3.

19 After being made alive,[d] he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits— 20 to those who were disobedient long ago when God waited patiently in the days of Noah while the ark was being built. In it only a few people, eight in all, were saved through water, 21 and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.[e] It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, 22 who has gone into heaven and is at God’s right hand—with angels, authorities and powers in submission to him.

Read Hebrews to know how Christ is the Priest. In John 2, Jesus did not entrust Himself to those coming to him. Instead, the Father must prepare us first. This started when we were saved from the pit. It continues in the flood of Noah as we are baptized into the waters of life. See it from the verses above. Your life in the water is for repentance. You have repented when you turn from sin.

Give it time to sink in. We are all sown into weakness for sin. Yeast makes bread rise.

Sigh...

Do you have ANY evidence of it being a manufactured religion aside from a movie transcript claiming this person spoke with Jesus on the validity of the religion...

Considering they have structures from 3k+ years ago based around their beliefs... and texts that predate the bible by a HUGE amount of time?

Your fundamental Christian doctrine states that there is no material outside of God to use for creation and that all things are indeed God. Otherwise, God is not the first and only God that is ONE, but he is other than something else. Which is it?

The Gita answers this. So does the Tao. So does the Bible.

In the Beginning was the Word. The Father is Aleph Bet.

There is a big difference between condemnation and discernment. (Both are "judging") I haven't heard anyone tell you that you are going to Hell, not here in this thread. I stopped doing that YEARS ago because I never know that person's future holds and what God will do with them in their lifetime.

No, my belief structure says creation was a miracle. That only God can violate the 1st Law of Thermodynamics. It was a miracle.

Acts 17

24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. 25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. 26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. 27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. 28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’

The Gita tells you why he is not far from you at all. Right under your nose in fact.

When you figure out who God is and what produced our image, you know how duality works. As the Upinashads says, if God were to speak, who would he speak to? He is not dual. We are a duality of God and man. He sees through our eyes, yet we do not know he is there with us all the time. We can speak to him because we are unaware of him there. We speak and he listens. If he speaks, who would he speak to? He is all of us at once. God is one. There is no other to speak to.

That still small voice is there speaking. We know it, yet can't perceive it directly. The Spirit is in and through us.

If you would simply do one thing, you would see how deeply judgment goes. I know you are discerning truth. No doubt. Do one simple thing. Just listen to the Gita from the beginning. Don't read it. Listening is the best. I only takes a few hours. Well worth the effort to become educated it their perspective. From this, simply let scripture form the Bible ring out as you listen. For me, this was a life changing experience.

The Spirit teaches. You can then come back and let me know what you think of it.
