If there is even a .000001% chance (which is probably higher, statistically, than the odds it took for "evolution" to get us here) that that could happen to you, why not just believe the Bible?

The same type of question could be asked of you. What if Islam is true? If there's even a .000001% chance that you may be thrown in hell, then why not just believe in the Quran?

(My response would be because of FAITH in LOVE since GOD is LOVE, and Perfect Love cast out Fear)

IF that were to be the case, I surely wouldn't be saying "Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?"

I would simply say "I believed on the Lord Jesus Christ. I believed the Bible when it said that 'Whosoever believeth on me'. Father have mercy on me, I took you at what I thought to be your Word."

And then He'd forgive me, and everything would be fine!

Ah. I had replied before you edited so did not see the rest.

I don't really have anything to say about it because literally all of the things you mentioned are addressed in the "Hell Know!" link which you showed no interest in reading. I have no interest in going through it for you and copy/pasting tons of stuff into the thread. The information is there if you want to see it.

I guess.... I kinda toss Islam out of the water considering they deny the Gospel, yet still hold to the base of the Abrahamic religion, which all points towards Jesus Christ. Their "prophet" was a pedophile, as well.

I don't know. The Quran just doesn't ring true as the word of God.

I explain my own points, (mostly) with my own thoughts and ideas, and bring my outside material into the thread. Why can't you do me the same kindness?
Why should I be expected to read through tons of pages of material to substantiate a claim that YOU are making as you derail MY thread? A claim that the majority of Bible believing Christians for at LEAST the past 400 years, and likely much longer, don't even believe....

Now you know how others feel about your Old Testament God.

Their "prophet" was a pedophile, as well.

So was Moses, yet you still believe in him:

"And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the Lord in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the Lord. Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves." - Numbers 31:15-18

Sounds like Paul to me... I guess you'll find out what his doctrine of Faith alone will get you eventually...

Good luck brother

Doesn't say anything about immediately taking them to be wives....
I'm sure they did eventually, of course.

Also, that isn't Moses directly being a pedophile, even if that WERE implied, which I don't believe it is.

Is that Paulianity?

The fact is you accused their prophet of doing something that is promoted in the old testament. According to Numbers, Moses told his men to take little virgin girls for themselves and to kill off everyone else. Even if Moses wasn't one himself, he was still promoting it.

Matthew 12

33 Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit.

Wonder what kind of tree the OP is nurturing?

Well for one, I understood it would be pointless to discuss it with you because one of your counter points was about destruction lasting an eternity. An impossibility because that's not destruction in any way. Since it takes eternity, there is no end point, thus there is no destruction. It's a weak argument and only reaffirms my opinion that regardless of the evidence placed in front of you, your mind has already been made up. Another thing that tells me your mind is already made up is the lack of interest you have in researching the subject (though I'm sure you believe you have) for yourself. I'm not expecting you to read something just because I linked it, I do however expect that people who have an interest in the subject and have had their position challenged to show an interest. Do any research on the concept of Hell and you will see just how recent those eternal torment doctrines really are.

Why did I bring it up in the first place?

Well you rudely attacked another poster accusing them of confusing people etc. etc. You continuously claim to be Bible believing so in response to your rude rebuke I felt I needed to point out where you were spreading confusing and false information. I've given you enough verses to touch on the subject. All very clear and concise. It's up to you research it more. If you care about the truth maybe that's something you'll want to do.

As for derailing this thread.. I am not sure why you think I've derailed this thread so if you feel like enlightening me, by all means do so. The subject of hell is well in line with the topic of the OP.

This next question isn't but I hope you will address it anyway.

Do you have any comments on the Bible and a geocentric model?

As I said. It doesn't say they were to immediately start having relations with them. Obviously, that would be wrong. It gives the reason for why they did what they did... They were putting away evil from them, because the people of the land were leading them into idolatry and worse. They took the young women to raise, and eventually marry into their families.

Why do you have to try and so sickly twist God's word?

No.
Your claim has never been a widely believed nor accepted doctrine, thus, I'm not spreading confusion.
Sorry.
As for the geocentric earth theory, I see nothing in the verses provided to support such a theory.

"I believed what JESUS CHRIST said when he said " And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?"

Is that Paulianity?

That is a very good question actually... and it actually had nothing to do with me or what I say...

it has to do with your actions in this life...

IF you are one who believes that all it takes is words... perhaps going to church to show that you "believe" in Jesus

Then Yes... that is Paulianity...

Remember, what you do to the least of these you have done to me...

One can not just walk through this life without helping others... doing what is right... We are faced with situations every single day of our lives... what you do is the test... its not faith, but what you do in those situations that will decide what happens when its all over

IF one Has Faith in Jesus... they do what he asked...

One can not say, I believe in Jesus and walk by a person in need... You can't... period

So the answer my friend, is I don't have the answer to that...

That depends on YOU... and your actions in this life...

It could be Paulianity... but maybe not

It says Moses told them to take young virgin girls for themselves. Where does it say that they were forbidden to have relations with them until they got older and married into their families?

Why are people so quick to assume that "Once Saved, Always Saved" people don't help others in need, just because they rebuke false prophets and sinners, and believe the Bible?

One has NOTHING to do with the other.
