The chief med officer from the ME CDC said that "someone can be more infectious during the 2nd week of a 21 day quarantine, and Kaci is in the 2nd week).
According to CNN, Kaci was with patients until the Oct 21, and today is Oct 31.She's still not in the clear.

Yes that is true, but if the roommate was with Hickox at the same time she was sick Hickox will be showing symptoms like the roommate, so far she has been negative, perhaps the roommate got infected after Hickox left for the US.

Or maybe they worked on the same patient? Like our two Dallas nurses who got infected from Duncan?

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

If this report is true then that nurse in Maine had to know that her roommate had ebola, but she kept her mouth shut about it. Being transparent with the information wouldn't fit into her agenda. And yes, I think there is an agenda behind her behavior. Some of these medical people on self quarantine aren't exactly forthcoming with all the facts.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

Might even be why she was so vocal about getting caught in the quarantine. She's been back, what, a week today? For all we know they both got exposed to the same patient or accidental splash. Pure speculation, but there may be an entirely different reason for her noise, as in fear.

So far this has NOT been proved a hoax. Not saying that it might not be still, but this is premature, imo.
