Indeed. This is happening to me as well. It was reported on the Reddit Live Feed a little bit ago that the President and Eric Holder were both formally briefed on Ferguson this evening. I can only imagine their hold over social media.

My Janetter Pro Mac app has always been reliable and solid, showing live streams on any hashtag. Now it can't even reload #Ferguson.

I'm getting the exact same thing and I currently have 3 different twitter apps installed on my phone. All of them work great when it comes to updating and all. I have nothing. The same as you. Not on any of the 3 I am using.

I have no clue what's going on at this point.

Oh I have no doubt it's all legal and proper like. It'll be a few lines within a sub-item in a long bill like the NDAA or maybe something even longer. Just a small thing that is easy to miss by the time anyone gets to it. Treating us folks like mushrooms seems the craze lately. (sit in dark and shovel with .... fertilized nonsense)

I had 3 live feeds going tonight. I swear I could feel the tension in the police, their hearts beating rapidly, hear their heavy breathing. Just waiting for ANYONE to make one move they could construe as aggressive.

They were drooling to use all those military toys on anyone.

On a side note: FOX cable B, their finance channel Program called "The Independents", regular nightly show, ran a whole segment on what happened in Ferguson tonight and the militarization of police and what it means to America. Their guest speaker was Radley Balko, Author of "Rise Of The Warrior Cop". (would love to get him for an AMA SO..hint hint)

With all that riot gear, a bottle? That's what provoked this? Or, maybe the fact that the police wanted this in the first place by showing up there with tanks and automatic machine guns pointed directly at what appeared to start out, a peaceful crowd. I dunno, you tell me.

Maybe the crowd wanted this.

What other reason would they have to block an entire street at night?

There were peaceful protests all day, no incidents...why stay out at night and block streets.


But please tell me...do you think it is ok for people to throw bottles at police?

St. Louis County Police Chief Timothy Fitch to Study Counter-Terrorism in Israel

For Immediate Release25-Mar-2011

For a week next month, St. Louis County Police Chief Timothy Fitch, along with law enforcement officials from across the United States, will visit Israel to learn how Israel's police, intelligence and security forces prevent terror attacks. The weeklong program is part of the Anti-Defamation League's (ADL) National Counter-Terrorism Seminar which will include visiting the cities of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and Tiberias.

The ADL delegation consists of law enforcement leaders from the largest police departments in the United States as well as from the nation's capital and from federal agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Over the course of a week, participants will be briefed by senior members of the Israel National Police as well as officials from the Israel Defense Forces and Intelligence /Security organizations.

Chief Fitch stated: "Our Department currently houses the St. Louis Terrorism Early Warning (TEW) Group which is the region's fusion center serving the city of St. Louis and seven counties in Missouri and Illinois. The fusion center combines the efforts of law enforcement, (local, state and federal), public safety and private entities with the primary goal of gathering and sharing information concerning homeland security. National and state-wide level terrorist risk assessment and the dissemination of generated information is an on-going process. We serve the region with a multijurisdictional approach emphasizing the protection of critical infrastructures."

Chief Fitch added: "We will also discuss contemporary counter-terrorism issues facing the people of Israel, such as the bombing of a bus station yesterday in Jerusalem. I am confident that this will be a unique learning experience offered nowhere else in the world. I consider it a great honor that I was chosen to attend."
