Jana Krause, from the war studies department at Kings College London, says: “A potential explanation other than combatant roles could be that families expect them to be the first ones to leave shelters in order to care for hurt relatives, gather information, look after abandoned family homes or arrange food and water.
“Similar to combatant roles, these would be ‘high-risk’ social roles that young men are often expected to fulfil.”
She stressed that more work would be needed on the ground to determine why this group was over-represented in the casualty figures.
Men of this age may also be mistaken for fighters because they fit the age profile.”

Face it Chuck you support this generations Nazis you should start working on your goosestepping now.
Now I know I'm right. If even buster2010 has run out of arguments and has been reduced to childish name-calling, my point has been established without doubt and I am satisfied.

Give me a break with the asinine Nazi comparisons.
When the IDF starts shipping Palestinians off to gas chambers and lining them up in the streets for systematic executions, then you may be on to something.
If the people of Gaza want the blockade lifted and self governed border security, they need to elect a democratic government to represent them as opposed to a gang of criminals and thugs that are sworn to Israel's destruction. That would be a start.

The difference is that Israel is retaliating against a terrorist regime that is using human shields while trying to kill Israeli civilians.
As for elected government, as long as Hamas is in the picture and refuses to renounce their charter, nothing will change.

It was left wing in 2005 when Israel handed over control of Gaza to Fatah and relinquished additional territory by forcefully removing 40,000 jewish settlers.
That approach worked out really well.

You know those territory are unlawfully occupied - do you?
Those settlements were built on land that does not belongs to them and whole world still condemns current Israel government on CONTINUING of building on occupied territory.
Just imagine world outcry if USA started building USA cities in Iraq or Afghanistan, if you unable to understand what occupied really means.
