It is totally irresponsible. We should come together as an international communtiy to sort out this mess, yet we have Turkey sticking their nose in just to win votes. Screw the palestinians and Isrealis, they just want the votes from their muslim population.


They have a general election coming up. If they agree to escort this floatilla (organised by the group that is known for sending weapons into syria). we can be sure it is for the election not for the palestinians.

I thought it was Kerry that opened up channels with Turkey over the Israel/Palestine situation. Which sort of ticked off Israel. At least that is what the CBC in Canada has reportes.

They keep coming back to this currency issue yet for the life of I me I do not understand why they think its important. The US is not the only reserve currency in use. Canadian currency is also used, as is the Euro.

So now we have more facts about this story. Their is indeed a flotilla. It has no warships and is not taking supplies. It is simply sailing to the area as a sign of protest. New Gaza Flotilla

The international Freedom Flotilla to Gaza coalition decided its new flotilla to the Gaza Strip will include the Turkish ship Mavi Marmara, the same vessel that participated in a maritime protest against the siege on Gaza in 2010, during which nine of its passengers were killed by the Israel Navy.

The new flotilla will not, however, be a humanitarian convoy for transporting aide and medication to the Gaza Strip, but will embody a message of political protest against the ongoing blockade of the Strip and Israel’s operation there.

And it may not go at all or anytime soon.

Turkish sources note that because the Mavi Marmara is now on lease to a private company, the flotilla cannot be organized within a few days. Thus, the departure date has not yet been determined. The sources added that the participation of the Mavi Marmara also depends on political circumstances, such as Ankara’s possible involvement in a cease-fire agreement between Israel and Hamas, and in postwar arrangements in Gaza.

As I said before anyone getting hopes up for some kind clash between Turkey and Israel was barking up the wrong tree.

yes, kerry met with turkey and qitar for a peace deal to take to israel.

Yeah your wrong. They are not sending supplies nor warships. A flotila may sale by with some signs in protest but, that is all. The original story was wrong. And it is amazing how you add Obama to story that has nothing to do with him.
