I am really sick of hearing about schools hospitals ect getting destroyed because they say they are hiding weapons there..Was any proof given to support their claims i did not read all 7 pages. Again i ask if the Israel military is so great why not send in teams ie seal like to deal with the real rebels. it is like sending a warship to take out a pontoon boat.talk about overkill and dont they get it they are just creating more hate against them with every woman and child slaughtered..but all governments need to bogymen/terrorists to justify the wars and keep that foreign aid a rolling in sick and disgusted. For the record i do not support hamas either. Is hamas cilivans or do they have a military also?

It really sucks when you fire rockets at someone that has way better weapons than you do. It's kind of like erkul slugging Mike Tyson and waiting for the world to defend you, while you're getting your butt kicked right after you hide behind your wife. Senseless for sure.

What you seem to be suggesting is that when the civilians in Israel have rockets and missiles fired at them by the hundreds, then thousands? It's whining and baby like to say anything much less offer a defense to it all.

When Palestinians are being bombarded, it's not whining but a matter of critical importance for the world to stop and take notice of. Does that cover it?

Aside from the fact Israel has defensive options which make most of the attacks worthless to attempt, how do the rockets and missiles not count? Are they Public Relation shots which won't really kill Israelis if they aren't intercepted or is it just that they are Israeli civilians rather than Palestinian civilians to make the difference in caring or not caring? The fact they are ineffective as a fighting force shouldn't make any forgiveness for Hamas. The thought sure counts and their thoughts are openly homicidal.

In our society, when someone is convicted of murdering 3 people, do we punish them by killing 400 of their family members?

What's worse?

Storing missiles in hospitals/mosques, schools?

Or

Bombing mosques, schools, hospitals because there are missiles stored there?

Obviously the 2nd is worse. Why? Because people die!

Storing missiles -wherever- does not kill anyone.

You need to brush up on your moral skills.

soulwaxer

Using children as a shield in war is morally repugnant.

Unless you're rooting for them, I suppose.

You are missing something. Wherever Israel bombs, that's where the shield is.

soulwaxer

Maybe you should read some of the articles linked in this thread as it appears you have not. The UN clearly states in numerous articles that missiles are being stored in multiple schools in the area. They even found some, turned them back over to the Hamas, only to have them disappear again.....shocking......

I've read plenty, thank you. And from all that reading I learned that the UN is no better than Israel, in fact they fight for the same team.

These Israeli/Palestinian threads sure are handy for hunting shills.

Typical.

Anyone who offers an opposing viewpoint regarding this particular subject is automatically a Zionist shill right?

In that case, you must be a terrorist shill. See what I did there?

Perhaps you could try refuting the opinions of others without disrespecting them.

I have refuted their opinions on plenty of other threads. I'm sure they didn't mis any, because they are all over them.

www.vox.com... from this link i guess they were told to evacuate at least 12-24 hours in advance as they were planning on striking near by rocket/rocket launchers and that they told the UN and the red cross/crescent of their plans to strike the building today.....so why was it not evacuated if they gave anywhere from 12 to 24 hours notice.i mean being a refugee would suck either way but you would figure if you were told hey the building is gonna be hit by tanks and fighter jets people would hastily want to be standing just about anywhere else, unless the refugees never got the message.

The official accounts are hazy because no one is really sure yet whether an Israeli strike or Hamas rocket hit the Beit Hanoun school. Initially, the local UNRWA director blamed an Israeli strike. However, the New York Times now reports that UN officials are saying "they could not be sure." Israel, according to the Times, is denying intentionally hitting the school. The Times and other reporters in Gaza have been unable to independently verify any claims of responsibility for the destruction at the school. However, witnesses suggest that the UN facility was struck by shells, possibly from a tank (which would imply Israeli responsibility):
so as its still new i bet we will get a clearer picture in 24-48 hours when the investigation or whatnot gets finished

www.nytimes.com... LedeSum&module=first-column-region®ion=top-news&WT.nav=top-news ny times take on the matter

BEIT HANOUN, Gaza Strip — A series of explosions at a school run by the United Nations sheltering hundreds of Palestinians who had fled their homes for safety from Israeli military assaults killed at least 16 people on Thursday afternoon and wounded many more. The cause was not immediately clear. Many Palestinians initially presumed it was an Israeli strike that hit the shelter in the northern Gaza town of Beit Hanoun, but the Israeli military suggested soon afterward that errant Palestinian-fired munitions might have been the source. The local director of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which runs the school, said he could not be sure. Israeli officials denied having intentionally targeted the school and said they had warned the United Nations three days earlier that the school should be evacuated because the surrounding area was a combat zone.
so three days warning not one ,but to be fair some survivors described the strike as 3-4 tank shots and that would be more twords Israeli responsibility unless hamas has tanks now

If I was fighting against an enemy. I wouldn't bomb a shelter full of civilians. Even if it held the stockpile of all weapons owned by the enemy....

Nobody can directly link the school from the reports because the name of the school is not in any of them. If can be heavily inferred that it was the correct school as it was a UN school in the town and the UN directly addressed reports of missiles being found in a UN school in the town. Not sure how many UN schools this town has but it is not a large town so could not be many. Town is named Beit Hanun.

ok thank u so how can Israel be so sure there were weapons in there? I would like the un to show proof/facts that there were actually weapons being hidden that would at least make a lil justification to the strikes but again i don't see why they can not small teams they are not going against a military right?

Maybe they didn't evacuate because of this

UN humanitarian chief Baroness Amos has expressed extreme concern at the situation in Gaza, saying that 44% of Gaza territory has been designated a no-go area for Palestinians, and that residents were running out of food and water.

wbponline.com...

They can't evacuate if there is nowhere to go to, Gaza was tiny as it was but now nearly another half of it is off limits. They are being herded like cattle to the slaughter.

Everyone has chosen a side in this war.

Ultimately, though, someone will win.

Me?

I'm going to actually "root" for the first "side" that really tries to obtain peace.

Don't give a damn which side.

The first opponent that petitions for real peace, I'm going to support.

well i guess they could have crossed from Gaza to Egypt but what with the Egyptians closing the border every time Israel goes into gaza i can see how that too would make evacuating what amounts to a war zone problematic.its almost like their neighbors want them(Palestinian civilians) boxed up in a tiny area when ever Israel retaliates

www.nytimes.com... this one talks about the problems of migration for citizens of gaza

www.nytimes.com... seems Egypt is willing to open the crossing if hamas/Palestinian government is put in charge of the border crossing and security something Israeli forces will never agree to so back to the millennia long stale mate in the region

aohr.org.uk... no nothing about this source but it paints a bleak picture of the situation

aohr.org.uk... and just because i found it interesting to the situation here is a link on how some brits fight with the idf among other nations as they are not prohibited by law from serving in other nations armies as long as that nation is not at war with the UK

Yet another nail in the proverbial coffin for Israel. As if the International community has not turned on it enough as it is with all that they have done. Wait for more media spin and see how this plays out for there public relations bombardment.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, but for the record, Israel, Fatah, and the Arab League have accepted all three cease fire proposals that have been put forth by Egypt so far, and Hamas has rejected all of them.

What Are american citizens doing fighting in the israeli defense force? That make them as guilty as the jewish mass murderers.
You can call me what you like what israel do is genocide, murder, inhumane.
Everyone with half a braincell knows that the missiles fired by Hamas is a cry for help and have no effect. Iron dome will shoot down every one that pose a threat to civilians. It is crimes against humanity. Cold blooded murder.
