Calling my provider results in a recorded message that they are "experiencing transmission problems" and someone will be able to speak with you directly after 09:00.

Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but I was watching the news on this and my partner noticed something strange about the passports they show. You will notice a Malaysian passport with a triangle cut out of it. This means that it is an invalid passport.I have a photo on my phone, but don't have PC access, do I can't embed.I can email it to someone to embed if that helps??

Looks to me those who are asking why some people still carries their invalidated passport has no experience in living in another country other than your own.

Usually, the residence visa is attached or glued to a passport page for non citizens residing in another country. Once a passport expires and the visa has not expired yet, you cannot remove the visa from that page and stick it to your new passport as it will be tantamount to tampering.

I also carry my old passport with holes in it as my valid visa is still there along with my new passport every time I travel. Hope this info gives light to those who are asking why.

Looks like it was a screw up by the separatists.

Actually, kinda off topic, but were you watching TV on 9/11?

I'm Canadian and we had cable TV of maybe 34 channels or so, majority of which were American. I remember every single channel was covering 9/11. Even YTV, which is kid's programming. Even the weather channel. Literally, every channel, for like three days straight. It was bizarre. Nobody would shut up about 9/11 here, because that's all that was on TV. Talk about psychological operation.

Where did I question why someone would carry one of these? I merely pointed this out as it stood out to my partner who, by the way, happens to be an English citizen living in Australia. As far as I know, they now link visas to a new passport so that there would be no reason to carry the old one. Must be different where you are.

People talk about wanting the info from these type of situations. And when it is put out there, it must be false. Maybe is, maybe isn't, but it's there for the world to attempt verify. The NSA probably has the same given they monitor signals everywhere.
