It sounds like he's simply being realistic to me. I don't see this as an indication that he knows of any specific plan; just that he knows that there are possibilities, such as a very open southern border, where suitcase-sized nukes could easily be brought over, or under, for that matter. We also have known terrorists (underwear bomber) allowed to fly in, so what else have they allowed, while they are busy frisking little girls in the airports? All considered, it's a wonder something really big hasn't happened already.

I think the next incident of great import has to be a bio-engineered plague sort of 'bomb' or a nuke or some other massively destructive device or action.

I think many thousands of lives will be lost. Significantly more than 9/11.

How realistic? Pretty realistic, I'd say! I have heard the same concern from MANY over the years; what's he's saying isn't anything new. The border is basically wide open, and many tunnels have been found; some you could drive trucks through. Some of these were used for YEARS before they were found, too. Securing the borders should be a no-brainer, but neither side wants to step up and actually DO IT. I agree that scare tactics are used, but that doesn't mean there aren't any legitimate concerns. Terrorism is a known and real issue, and one that affects people all over the world, not just here.

As an aside, that avatar is a real distraction in threads, because of the way it moves, in the jerky fashion.
