I had my driving lesson today, then mucked about in town for a couple of hours, before shooting off round to my friends place to say hello and catch up, after which I buggered off home. The weather is gorgeous tonight, really lovely. To quote family guy "ITS RAININ' SIDEWAYS!"

Hey guys! Well my Jeep has been recovered and is in the impound lot. I get to go check it out in the morn. Don't know if they caught the guys who stole it though. I guess all those questions will be answered tomorrow.

Just when I started to accept never seeing it again, they find it and no I'm all spun again for the night. I have no clue as to what damage has been inflected upon it or if it's even salvageable. They wouldn't tell me over the phone. I'm back in angry mode.

It's gonna be a long night.

Ah Dawg.

Here's hoping that any damage is fixable with little to no parts cost. You are a resourceful chap, and although no one wants the bother of pulling a ding or two out of ones car, at least you get to see yours again. Most people never see their cars again after they are taken, because they get chopped up, as you mentioned at the time, or wrecked beyond the ability of any wallet to recover to full working order.

It still sucks, but it could be worse! Look at it this way, your jeep is like Schrödinger's Cat at the moment, and hypothetical jeep is still marginally better than absolutely no jeep!

I hope they caught the jerk who stole it!!!!!

Yeah, Jacy and I had to put it back.... No one wanted the parts from such an ol' banger!!! LOL

Hey Gordi!

I'm not sure why she wrote that...

It's amazing that Dawg got his Jeep back...when our car was stolen (long time ago), we eventually got it back too. It had been stolen by a guy who stole vehicles to do break & enters. The trunk was full of stolen stereo equipment.
It was weird driving the car after we got it back...felt very violated.

Pernicious International Motor Part Smugglers?

It's gonna be one of those days. I was just about to head out the door when I heard on the radio that a ten car pile up occurred on the highway I need to drive on to get to the impound lot. Not only did it occur on the highway I needed to get there, but also at the exit I needed.

I swear Clevelanders can't drive. Oh well, I waited this long so I guess another hour or two is not going to kill me.

Cleaveland eh? Let me ask you a question about Cleaveland... Is Cleaveland so called because it has some massive valley or canyon in it? Or did they name it for someone whose name happens to put one in mind of a gash or a rent in the Earth?

There is a decent valley, though pretty average, but it was named after the founder. It's really a crappy town and would advise any tourists to steer well clear of it. Not much going for this town. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame is a serious disappointment, the museums are lacking pretty much everything, and crime is pretty heavy as well. I live south of Cleveland in a pretty decent town, but my Jeep was found in Cleveland so that's where it was impounded.

And they say I have to pay $150.00 and have a limited power of attorney to have it released to the insurance company! GRrrrr!

This entire incident is costing me money I don't have.
