The path to recovery.

Have you heard the phrase 'No pain - no gain'. It is used a lot in gyms.

To recover movement you have to use the hand and the thumb to exercise it. A little pain is OK, lots of pain is not. Use it a little more each day.

I am not aware of what caused the original injury so can not help further.

I sliced the bottom of my thumb open once, went straight through the nerve. Took a few months to get movement and almost a year before I had all of the feeling back in it.

The older we are, the longer it takes us to heal.

Baby steps ccbears, baby steps, but you must take those steps.

To everyone...So sorry I missed you all today. It was a very busy day for me. I am so damned scared and stressed and sad right now.

I had a call from my Doctor's office saying that from my mammogram results, the left breast is fine. The right breast (the one I had cancer in), has scar tissue and some calcification. I have to have another mammogram in 6 months instead of a year. If it changes in size and pattern, from what I have read, it could be cancer. It is common, but having had cancer already and the fact I keep getting an elevated white blood cell count...I'm scared. I see the blood specialist/cancer doctor on Thursday. Don't know what my blood results from him will show yet. He costs about 387.00 or something like that just to see him!!!!

Have tons of documents I need for the patient advocate lady at the hospital who is trying to get me help with medical coverage. So damned sick of doctors and tests and all the money it's costing me. I never get any good news any more.

hey night star..so sorry you are going through that...no ones should have to go through that kind of pain...i so wished i could be there for you but you are in my heart..i sent you another pm..syx watched while i did it to make sure i did it right..lol...so hope you get good news from here on out..that is alot of money just to see a doctor..wow...i am here for you cuz..

yes i so know that pheonix..i have been trying to move my thumb and no way.i am getting alot of pain and no gain..its not going to move..its like there is some thing behind it from moving..i hurts like crazy every time i try to bend it..the doctor said i have a trigger thumb...so hate not being able to do my crafts or cross stitch as i was just teaching my grand daughter how to do it..now cant..it just hurts to much...the doctor didnt really seem to care about my thumb..as when i went they wanted x rays of my wrist and i said no its my wrist and thumb oh really ok..so they took of the thumb as well but he still really didnt seem to care..but syx can tell you how this happen...hope you are have a great night...

I bought my great Niece the most adorable guardian angel teddy bear for Christmas! I loved it so much I bought one for myself. I was feeling bad for myself. LOL This bear would probably go for 15.00 or 20 bucks elsewhere. I got them for 3.99 each!!!!!!! A nice size, dressed in pink with lace, little ribbon roses around the head, wings...ADORABLE! Love my bear! LOL

CC, Make sure that you are spelling Night's name correctly when you U2U her. If it is written as NightStar, Night star or nightstar it won't go through. It has to be exact (Night Star). It's happened to me before.

I really like that saying. One of my favorite things is to be out in the boat on the lake and hear nothing but nature. It's a time where I do most of my best thinking. Being out on the ice is so nice too. Quiet and beautiful.

I am sorry you are having to go thru what you are going thru. Why things happen to us? Who knows. I say to myself, God has a reason for this happening. One day at a time. Accept the things you can not change, and change the things you can.

I know I told you this before, I love your signature. It really says alot about you. You are a fighter and you are so strong in ways that others haven't a clue.
