Or they know nobody will take any notice and those who do and post here will only have blurry, unclear pictures to talk over for a day or two before the thread dies. Doesn't look like a message to me.

That's because it depends on who the message was for.

Not yet but look how close it is. Now why would this be programmed in a boom simulator???

That's what I was thinking too when I saw it. It's almost dead on. Pretty design.

What do you interpret the message to be and for?

Oh I know what it was for. A few people in here have had done pretty good ideas about it.

nope... thats the whole point.

It easier to evade radar and all the evade the sensors/satellites/flir etc.

This is demonstration that they can fly over our airspace uncontested.

This is not an American project. You will see later in the year.

The craft over Amarillo were speaking English in their radio chatter, so do you postulate that Canada has a stealth program?!

The Wichita craft had a conventional fighter escort.

Your logic is flawed.

3 prototypes like Amarillo, I can't imagine a contest with 3 planes, and another one with another builder not the same craft and surely different missions no?

I was thinking the same thing about Amarillo. There, we are not looking at a prototype but an actively deployed program.

Not quite yet. It's not operational yet. They still have some more flight testing to do.

I am guessing at least bought and paid for if we are looking at 3 production craft?.. Definitely not a demonstrator.

Correct. It's not a demonstrator.

Maybe this is something, maybe this is nothing... maybe I have been following the this thread and the Texas Spanloader thread too much. I have a quick question...

I live pretty close to the MA-NH border along the Merrimack River, this just happened around 7:20 pm. We just got home from my brother's house for Easter festivities, and my 4 yr old son pointed out a Jet in the sky. I could barely make out the black dot in front of the contrail which was already far away. It was relatively close to the south-Eastern horizon. What caught my attention is that a thick contrail could be seen almost to the other horizon. The houses at the top of my hill are blocking it. This seems like a much longer trail than I am used to seeing. I did take some pictures, but the best ones were with my Galaxy S3. When I ran in the house, I went out on my porch and took some pics with my dslr... but at this point it was pretty far away and kind of obscured my trees. I can make out the front of the contrail, but I can't see the plane. I am pretty sure a tree is in the way. Once the photos from my phone are uploaded to Photobucket, it is possible that I can see something more. If it makes a difference, the contrail was gone in about 10 to 15 min.

So my question: Does this seem like an unusually long contrail at this time of night and this time of year for a Jet flying high enough that it's shape can't be made out?

Side question 1: Am I thinking about black planes too much... is it time to put down the interwebs. Honestly, I am starting to get sick of Jesse Ventura staring at me on the side of my ATS window

Side question 2: Does anything cool fly out of Pease AFB?

Not much out of Pease, but I've seen the X-47 flying in the area up around the Mass/NY border, and the MQ-4, and F-35B are both flying out of Pax River testing.

Cool!

I think I remember you mentioning in another thread that your dad used to work out of Pease. If so, I am assuming that you have lived in this general area at some point in time. Is the length of contrail that I described out of the ordinary? I have always been interested in this stuff, but since my oldest son was around 2, we have always been pointing out planes to each other. While it is usually small recreational craft, he always has had a nack at finding jet contrails when we are outside playing.

It's not uncommon. The new engines leave a lot longer contrails that last longer, and form lower.

I spent a few years up there, and have been back up there a few times in recent months. It's totally different up there now.

No you did not just bring the Daily Mail here - to Aircraft Projects.....shame on you. The Daily Wail and a sciencetech section holds about as much weight as a North Korean ballistic missile.

We see these craft quite often in Kansas. I know multiple people in Manhattan, KS that have seen these at night, slowly hovering over the city but they can see the night sky through the bottom of the craft, best described as the Predator alien's cloak. Two brothers in my hometown saw the exact same cloaked triangle craft at night floating silently over our town, one brother is a fellow member here on ATS. I have not seen this craft myself but have seen multiple lights moving at incredible speeds over our town, making hard 90* turns at high speeds then disappearing as if they had left the atmosphere into orbit, then reappearing again several minutes later.

All of this activity is occuring near Fort Riley which is just a few miles from Manhattan, KS and an hour drive from my hometown.
