I already did, also go read the thread for posts and links to other images and the sketchy local ''news'' article that it appeared from.

How to discredit ATS in one silly thread, post a picture from an unconfirmed source, entirely lacking clarity and details, all sketchy, get a self proclaimed ''ATS expert'' to make assumptions all over it whilst being offensive to all other suggestions and attempts at suggesting people should take a reality check and voila, a ridiculous ego fest fandango of a thread!

ksn.com...

The base told us they were unable to identify the aircraft. They did say it could be a B-2 Bomber, but couldn’t confirm it.

Similar doesn't mean same as. The aft fuselage is completely wrong for a B-2, but matches up with other designs.

Gee, it almost looks something like this.

Not a lot of difference to be sure in that link as far as can be seen there, and I kind of wonder what just what makes the difference? There were a lot of stories about the B2 going supersonic a while ago, while the cheapy 'Long ranger' in the link is supposed to be specifically subsonic, same as the B2 is supposed to be as of now. All a bit confusing really. Maybe one of the two is actually going supersonic, maybe neither, but there again maybe neither are the plane in the OP. It could be a NASA inspired aircraft, like the supersonic turn on a sixpence 'Ninja star' without noticable 'G' force, blah blah.

As far as I know currently there are only 20, $2 billion B2's in service, they are not all on mainland USA either.

There are conflicting reports on the LRS-B specifications. The B-2 is strictly subsonic though. The LRS-B will take advantage of several leaps in technology in systems, as well as big advantages in new stealth capabilities that can't be retrofitted to the B-2.

As for the B-2s, they're all based at Whiteman AFB in Missouri, but they forward deploy anywhere from 2-3 for several months at a time.

Ya I have, and in that "sketchy" news article they only present one Wichita photo... No where do they suggest or make claim as you do that there are multiple sightings of the same craft that Jeff Templin photographed in Feburary.

Now other websites(Sploid, etc...) have related it to other sightings of aircraft. But again there is only one photo of the craft featured in the OP. And I will state it once more with 100% certainty, it is not a B2. It is probably just like Zaphod has been saying, a soft release of a new craft just like the F-117A was done some 30 yrs ago.

PS- Why do you think this Northrop Grumman commercial has been recently making the airwaves again??? And make sure you pay close attention to the ending...

PSS- KSN as someone pointed out on page 1 called the wrong airforce base...

Straw man arguments again, attacking those that don't agree to ASSUMPTIONS.

Neither you nor anyone else can say any certainty of anything about a few unconfirmed images from an unconfirmed source that haven't even been checked for being edited.

I view your OPINIONATED ASSUMPTION as just that.

More of the same... absolute irony

It would be awesome if you actually knew what the term straw-man argument meant.

It's not a B-2.

lol I love how confident you are, like you have some inside knowledge. It sure looks like a B-2 to me. There's no telling how high that thing is flying, which is why they couldn't hear anything.

You can disagree all you want, those of us that know aviation know this isn't a B2 and just because you don't know what the aircraft is doesn't mean others don't know what it is.

Sure Zaph might not have any links but what do you expect it's a black/grey project you won't get anything official until it's ready to be declassified.

From the clues here all you have to look at is what has been exposed (sort of) but not officially spoken about by the USAF, I can think of about 3 different types off the top of my head.

Judging by its flight path we need to look at a possible base it was flying to then we might be able to determine its mission.

You don't need inside knowledge to know it's not a B2 you just need the old MK1 eyeball.

The angle of the leading edge is all wrong for a B-2 for one thing.

Most likely one of the western bases. Edwards or Groom probably.

How about jumping on the straw man argument already?

As I said before, if you try READING the things I have written on this thread I didn't say it was a B2, I said it looked like it also that it looked like the Phantom Ray, I also said the photo posted by another poster taken from another link of the SAME incident looked like a B2. I also said people should stop making assumptions and stating them as fact.

Do you have a problem with that? If you do I suggest you contact an ATS mod as obviously you think opinions of others as against your religion or something.

So, back off and stop attacking me.

For the record I know a lot about planes.

If it is landing at either of those bases someone can get a better pic if they "happen" to be near Edwards or on Tikaboo, since they would have to land in the daylight.
The weather on Tikaboo looks fairly decent:

Just because you think they are assumptions doesn't make it true.
