Its impossible to be a B-2, Texas was not a B-2 and Kansas a lot less a B-2, what it is it look very new exotic design, and what is interesting, is speaking about the possibilities about this kind of shape, waht kind of engine and for what ? why there is two Platforms in the same looking ( with few difference). What is different with the Kansas contrail ?
If its manned it look a lot more for a strike plane , because in this day the ISR missions is a lot more for UAV. But I have a question in my mind if its not the same plane between Kansas and Texas what is the mission for each other ?

This looks like a B2. I have touched B2 Stealth and seen at close range doing maneuvers, the contrails even match.

Both the same mission. There's a reason that they both look similar.

Actually no it doesn't. There's only one "sawtooth" in the back. The B-2 has three angles on the aft fuselage. That has one it appears.

B-2

Aha! So now we know it's a new stealth bomber! I wonder what the range and payload capacity is?

(sshh, if we keep playing 20 questions, maybe Zaphod will slip up hehe)

There is no "right" answer, because this is a new plane.

I don't think it's a B2, the angles are wrong for one thing.

I think we are thread drifting here, the photo you are using is NOT the craft photographed over Wichita. I thought this thread was about the Single photo taken over KS.

I love how you wait to screen cap an image from the end of that video. You know the worst part. Why didn't you snip a pic of the clear part in the beginning of the vid? Oh wait because it wouldn't help your position...

This pic looks nothing like the OP's pic. Three jagged saw-teeth and two extended wings are clearly visible. Not one big triangle.

The silent, lightless triangle was in the very late 80's to early 90's... can't be much more specific. It was right on the over-city landing path and very close overhead... couple hundred feet if the wash of air it displaced was any indication.

The "notched" one I saw at 10,000 ft in daylight looked somewhat like a double tailed f-15 (meaning it had two vertical stabilizers) but blockier and squatter... more of a delta ... with a wide, straight back and an odd "notch" in it... (ETA maybe 2 notches where the propulsion would be... been awhile) perusing the newer fighter craft didn't help me identify it. I saw that in the early 2000's... like 2002.

It wasn't the stealth bomber... the notches were squared chunks out of the straight anterior line and it was more of a squared off conventional figher shape, a steeper "v" shape with blocky delta wings... meaning the ends of the wings were squared off, too... just unlike any others I've seen. Angular and blocky but not the way the f-22 stealth fighter is... more "normal" looking than that.

Definitely landed at DMAFbase..

That's my thought also. Why fly a Black Project aircraft in broad daylight if you didn't want it to be seen.

I think it is a subtle message.

My I join this club as well as I was about to ask the very same silly question. If they wanted this secret why parade it around Wichita in broad daylight!Unless they wanted it seen??

This kind of thread is what got me interested in ATS back in 2006 - I have an old forgotten account on here somewhere!

I love the idea of stealth and secrecy and I was always far more enthralled in stories of 'black' projects than aliens.

For what it's worth, Zaphod is the only members name i remember from back when i used to frequent the site, and it was because he knows his stuff on these kinds of topics that i used to read.

I'm certainly not 'following him blindly' but based on his posts through all of the years, I'd be inclined to trust his insight.

The fuselage shape is a completely different angle to a B2 and it's almost impossible to see the back of the aircraft because of the lighting, but whatever it is, it's certainly interesting and has clearly captured the imagination!

I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Eventually they're going to have to come to light, which means flying them when they can be seen. Sometimes time difference puts them over areas in daylight, so they can be over their target area at night when they want to be there. There are a few projects that are about to go grey from the black world.

The thread is about a ''mystery plane over Wichita '' of which there are various images, there are some that it looks like a B2 FACT.

Those that see that as a problem are obviously in denial of FACTS.

Those that are claiming it as something else based on ONE IMAGE are obviously ignoring all other information and facts.

Jumping to conclusions about whatever people think it might be based on an unconfirmed unclear image with no confirmed details at all is really just stupid.

If stupid is your way then don't expect the non stupid to agree just for appeasing your ego.

I think it's a Phantom Ray, but this isn't a B-2

It wasn't landing in Kansas. If it was still leaving contrails, it was over 30,000 feet.

And those who see it definitely as a B-2 based on one image, and refuse to believe that it could possibly be anything else, are ignoring all other possibilities, information, etc. So how are you any different?

A few pages back, as well as saying it looked like a B2, I also said it looks like a Phantom Ray, which it does.

Either way, until more information and better images appear as well as confirmation from reliable sources is obtained, all guesses are just that, guesses.

We know the USAF is developing a new, more stealthy bomber. The program is called the "Long-Range Strike-B" (LRS-B) heavy bomber program.

It costs about half of what a B-2 does and is more stealthy. It will just be a matter of time before they release the information to the general public.

LRS-B

This one flying around now may be a prototype.
