Thanks y'all for this wonderfully funny thread to wake myself up with this morning! Loved the kilt guys, that was a great touch.

As for the op, I am not British (though as a child I spoke in accents a lot, which led some to think I was from there), so I can't say why they go for fellas from the US. I'd wager it's the exotic thing, though. Personally, I'm fine with the accents I find in my native habitat, Southern US.

I believe the gentleman to whom you refer, is former Eluveitie bassist, and current bassist of Red Shamrock, and Deathtrope, Rafi Kirder. His brother also used to be in Eluveitie during the same period, a period which saw Eluveitie create some of their best work. If you like folk metal, then you might want to look into them further.
