Straight man here, but I'm guessing a lot of it has to do with a woman's primal instinct to find the man that will give her offspring the best chance for survival. American men are more confident, strong, athletic, and just all around masculine.

Did this turn into a dating site or pick up joint?

Made me laugh actually here, a large percentage of british woman think we british men are pasty skinned un exciting and boring, and see the americans as romantic excitement (as well as french, italians and greek's to add to that list, a lad called mario whom I worked with spoke with a typical northern st helens accent with a stutter, he is a really nice guy but when he goese out it is like watching the maestro in action, he is of greek cypriat extraction and puts a greek accent on, pretends he can not speak much english and the girls throw themselves at him, he is a big lad though), part of the problem is how english men put themselves accross to the women and indeed often how they treat them, plus we are an island and though varied maybe it is some deep rooted instinct to retrieve fresh DNA but whatever it is can we have the name of your aftershave please.

Ha another guy I worked with married his wife on holiday in seatle, she had to fight the american girls off as they were throwing themselves at him, he was a grunge rocker though with his own band and six foot five inches tall, also a really good lad and a great laugh.

Accents are nice though... they do probably serve to get you noticed, which is a start...

You know the bushmans language is actually far more complicated than ours and can express so many more form's, it is perhaps the most complex spoken language in the world but is a legacy as it is also maybe one of the oldest forms.
They are actually a beautiful culture is to our eyes incredibly primitive and will be lost as it is already irreversible contaminated, still you can not put a human being in a zoo, hunter gatherers whom though incredibly shy and with a fear of us other people are very humane and gentle in there way's.

People just love accents.
American women love British accents, BritIsh guys Love American women.
British Women love American Men, American men love British woman.

People like accents, we like what's different, it's sexy
