Um..I got the gesture...
I'll just keep to myself now..

I learned something today.
Holding doors open.
Helping with a chair when seating for a meal.
Giving a warm coat when its cold...
Chivalry.....has got me nowhere.
But I'll be this way forever...

Chivalry is a cold corpse, remembered only by the old, or the old fashioned. It is worth remembering though, that chivalry for the purpose of serving ones own, despicable ends, is not chivalry at all . It is supposed to function the way it does, whether or not the person who displays it benefits from it, or suffers because of it.

Though I personally have had a difficult time squaring my old fashioned mentality with the age in which I was born, and the one in which I live (which is a strange thing to say at the age of 29 I think), it does not stop me being the gentleman that I feel I ought to be, regardless of the pitfalls of such an attitude. It is what it is, and what it must be.

Regarding accents, I would echo other posters who have pointed out that certain aspects of the mind are attuned to regional dialect and accent. I would go further, and suggest that this is because diversification is a part of our genetic program, and there will always be a part of our sexual preference that is more or less devoted to that essential biological requirement. It is after all, one of the things that has meant that this species has survived as long as it has.

True, we do find some accents really sexy and others the opposite......luckily we all like different things........beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and that goes for more than just the way we look or talk.

I think this is pretty simple...

American men are known for being manly men and strong..

Your men are not known for being the same even though lots of them are.

Not even remotely, that doesn't come into it at all.
It's all about accents as other have said.
Maybe in America, American men are deemed "manly" compared to Brits, but funnily enough, that hasn't made it's way over this side of the pond.

I known many American women who would choose a English man with an accent over an American man.

I think people are designed to like exotic things.

I personally like Asian and Indians girls , others are too norm for me.

Nope.....I grew up on an island with mountains...I can ride and shoot and fish and sail.......I had a SPECIALIST teacher

As to arguing...I don't do that......
