I refuse to listen because I once had that song stuck in my head for months...only the lyrics changed to smell my finger...

Earworms. Suffer from them even in my sleep. I've actually woke up with a song from the dream still playing. It's not bad when I can tolerate the tune. Some are just BAD. Right now the tune is tolerable.

The thing about earworms is that it isn't just music. It could be a piece of dialog that keeps repeating. That's the worst.

Yes, Intrepid, and the dialogue in that song, that I managed to get, was he wants his ashes spread.

Hey, I didn't say it was a nice song. Just tolerable. I like heavy music. There are some that just make you want to claw your eyes out. Like the Sherri Lewis song. I'm not quoting the name as it send a bunch of people into suicidal actions.

Yes, I now can understand why someone would commit suicide with that song running throug their mind..over and over again without the ability to control it. But, we have the means to dull it's effect with other songs to divert our struggles.

Ok, you can thank the stupid commercials on TV at night when I fall asleep with the tv on for this one. It has actually been stuck in my head for a couple of days...just pops up out of nowhere, and then this morning it was what was playing in my head when I woke up...*grumble*

Morning ATS!
