They wanted to recruit me, but not happening.

For the last few months I've been waking up with this playing in my head and it doesn't go away until after I cook these little cherry pies at work. I have to cook them every morning...
I can't wait til I run out of them and maybe the song will stop!!!
Not ordering them anymore!!!

Well, it's like this:

I was on a road trip with my sister last month. I had my road trip mp3s playing and The Monkees Daydream Believer played. My sister said, "Isn't that Bobby Sherman?" I said, "No, that's the Monkees. You're thinking of Davy Jones."

Anyway, I made a mental note to add Bobby Sherman's Easy Come, Easy Go to the playlist. Of course, once I got home I promptly forgot. So for the past few weeks it's been in the back of my head that there was a song I wanted to add to the playlist but I couldn't remember what it was. I'd get brief flashes, but nothing my brain could hold on to. Finally I remembered.

So I look up the song and give it a listen. After all these years, I finally realized that I had the entire meaning of this song wrong. I thought he was taking a shave, out in the sun, and life was great and he had world on a string because he was number one and all this positive imagery. I mean, it sounds like an upbeat, positive tune.

After all, look at the guy. What the heck would he have to be depressed about?
